Here are the most useful cheats. Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C during game play to display a prompt in the upper left corner of the screen and then enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Please note that most of the codes will only work with the unpatched version of the game.
 
 
 

 Cheat Code Purpose

klapaucius                                This cheat if is for Sims original game only. It gives you 1,000 Simoleons. You can repeat your last cheat with   "!" rather than typing the cheat again. For example, just type in "klapaucius" for 1000 Simoleons, then type in !; !; !; !; !; !; !; !; !; !; !;... to make your Sims as rich as you want.

rosebud                                      This cheat serves the same function as above but it works on all the expansion packs .

water_tool                                  Use this to easily create a moat or stream .

move_objects on/off                  This cheat allows you to move any object or delete an object.  It serves a couple of useful purposes. First, this cheat is very helpful when your Sims gets stuck.  Second, this cheat can be used for an immediate "rejuvenator" for your Sims. Use this code (on) and then delete your Sim. After doing this, select your Sim again (Like you do when you delete an object and then buy it again). Your reselected Sim will have all their green bars  "maxed out" so your Sims is happy and fully energized.

sim_speed                                 [-1000 - 1000  This code lets you control the speed of your game.

grow_grass #                              Lets you grow grass # (1-150).

interests                                     Change personality and interests of your Sims.

lot_size                                      Set lot size.

map_edit on/off                          Edit the map

prepare_lot                                 fix required lot objects
