Resume

My name is Chung-Liang Chou (Richard), I was born in Taipei. I studied primary, secondary school in Taiwan. During my study my teacher often assigned me to all kinds of competitions, like track and field, debate, etc. I have a younger brother, we grew up together. We support each other. My father works in Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Taichung branch. He is a family man. He always teaches me a lot of things, encouraging me that don't be scared off by obstacles, but figure out ways to remove them. My mother worked in Economic ministry. She knew how education is important to my brother and me, so she is very care about our study. That’s also the reason why she brought us to New Zealand.

After high school entrance exam, I went to Kuang Jen senior high school. Some of my friends were to there too. Although the school is small, it is quite beautiful. A very good place to study.

At the end of second year of high school, we decided to go to New Zealand to study. The reason we went to there is because NZ has very high quality education, and the living expenditure is not very high. Also my uncle and my cousin were living in there, they can help us settle down. Therefore, my mom and my brother and me packed our luggage and went to NZ. I studied high school in NZ for two years, then went to University of Auckland. My major at University of Auckland is Computer Science, and I took many practical and theoretical courses, including Java programming, C++ programming, OpenGL, SQL, GUI design, assembly language programming, language implementation, algorithmics, data communication, artificial intelligence (AI), and visualization. I am quite interested in programming part, especially in Java and .NET technology. Before I came back to Taiwan I even went to the Sun Certified Java Programmer exam, and passed it with high score.(95%) My next goal is Sun Certified Web Component Developer, I am very confident to pass it soon because I am already familiar with servlet and JSP.

I am going to the army soon, before that I would like to gain some experience in Java application development. I will be very grateful if I’m given the chance to contribute at your company. I would give my every effort to meet your expectations.
