Jockeys are only required for racehorse owners.
At the moment the shows are only running once a week - On Saturdays. Jockeys may have more than one mount per show; not possible in the real world, but it is here. If you hire a jockey you hire him for life, unless you notify him of a change. If you have more than one racehorse you must pay the jockey his fee times the amount of horses you are entering in the race, this is his weekly pay on top of £1300.
Racehorses cannot be entered without a jockey.
