~ April 19th, 2003, at 1:50 PM CT ~ Hello, long time no see, huh? Well, I come bearing good news and bad news, more bad news than good, but I'll get to the good news first. Well, the good news is, my website is back up and running. Obviously. A lot of things have been changed, like for instance, almost every page now has a neat background ^.^. But there's more than that. The Pictures section, the Character Profiles section, the RPG section, the Fan Characters section, and maybe even some other sections I'm forgetting have all been updated with stuff! The Fan Characters section especially. I updated it with a little thing where you get to read about the Similarities & Differences between me and my fan character, Invader Kay. That way you can see how I'm like her, and how I'm not! So, I bet you'll have a lot of fun (or at least some, right?) exploring all of the new stuff on my site, and especially discovering the unique backgrounds in each section! Also, this music is a nice change of pace too, isn't it? My website used to be so silent! But sadly, along with the good news comes the bad. And I come bearing bad news as well as the good. I don't know how some of you will take this, some of you might've been expecting it, and some of you might be surprised, but... I can't hide it any longer... I have to tell you. I will no longer be working on this website as of now. Yes, I'm turning in my job as Webmistress. Why? There's more than one reason. For starters, I just... can't do it anymore. This website has taken up so much of my time, and I have a life too ya know, it may not be much of one, but I have one. The thing is... well, in the beginning, I enjoyed working on this website. It was a fun experience, especially since I was making a lot of friends in the process and it was just plain fun to work on a website that began to get somewhat popular! Yes, this has become my most successful website. No other website that I've managed has turned out like this one. So why quit? Well, my website has been up for two years. I know there are websites that have been up and running longer than that, but... you see, somewhere along the line... working on this website just wasn't fun anymore. I liked to do it, but.... it became more of a chore than something that I liked and was proud to do. If I'm being truthful, there were days that I had to force myself to update. It's because my enthusiasm for this website has been greatly slipping. Other things have been capturing my interest. Don't get me wrong, I still like Invader Zim. And I know a lot of you people have probably seen websites with closing messages like this. I know I have. And it is really disappointing, I know, but there's nothing else I can do, unless you want me to manage this website unwillingly. I know this means that there will be no more IZ fanfics from me, either. Yes, I have stopped on those quite some time ago. I know some of you were expecting my next 'fic, and I really tried to work on it. I really did, because I wanted to at least finish that cliffhanger I left off at... but I guess there will always be a cliffhanger. If you really want to know what happens next, maybe you could figure it out for yourself. Because there won't be any fanfics from me for a long time, or anything else on this site for a long time, for that matter. But I am still keeping it up. I'm not closing closing it. I still leave all the sections open for you to explore what is there, it's just that nothing more will be added to it. I am really sorry for this, but... there was just no other way. When you lose your enthusiasm, and something becomes more like a chore.... it's just almost impossible to go on with anymore. And if I did, it wouldn't be fair to me, or to you. It wouldn't be fair to me because I would be doing something I really don't want to, and it wouldn't be fair to you because I wouldn't be giving you my best. Please try to understand. And also... I want you to know some things. I have made many friendships through the course of my website, and I want to thank all of you. A few of those people are: Mozaco, Mari, Zam, Kris, KittyKatKisses, and Invadermya. And those are just a few, there are a lot more of you than that. I can't mention everyone, but I just want all of you to know that your friendships are important and I hope that we don't lose touch over this. I also want you all to know that all of you have really helped me through my site, helped me through my difficulties, and gave me confidence when I didn't have any. I want to thank you all very much for that. Also, the RPG that I said I was going to have in the Summer? Even though I'm not going to be Webmistress anymore, that is STILL on! Yes, I will return in the Summer for a short time to manage the RPG. So be sure not to miss that! It will be sort of like my Farewell RPG. Go to the RPG section for more information on when it will start and stuff. Be sure not to forget, and come back for that! All right? At least there is something to look forward to here. One more thing: Just because I'm leaving this site, doesn't mean I'm leaving the Message Board! I hope you all will still post on it, because I will go there every now and then. I enjoy talking to you all on there :). Well, I guess it's about time I bid you all farewell. I just want you to know that I will miss being webmistress of this site, and I will miss writing the Fan Fiction, and I will miss all of the e-mails, and even the submittions! And, just so you know, if I ever lose touch with any of you, which we eventually probably will, I just want you to know that I will always remember you all, even if you don't remember me. I know that sounds cheesy... but hey! You can't blame me, I'm just an emotionally deep person. :) Thank you again, you have all been super through these two years!
