Race #10 was a 1 1/2 mile dirt race with a purse of $20,000, and only three-year olds were eligible.

 The horses are beginning to load for the 10th race here at Chatham Raceway. Beautiful day for races, though a chance of rain was predicted, the weather has held up nicely here today. The field in this race looks to be one of the most competitive today. All 6 animals are well suited for this race so looking to see a good race here in a few moments. Look for a lot of speed here today, from the race card I see 3 front runners, 2 stalkers, and one mid packer so pace is expected to be grueling.

 They are all in line, and they are off! Loquat Dance in slot one, Cancun's Golden Rhythm in slot 4, & Black Night in slot 5 all away quickly. These 3 are battling it away at the front. Just behind them is Silver Streak who settles down a length behind Loquat Dance on the rail to save the ground as she stalks. Aside of Silver Streak, just off her flank actually, is Xtra Stormy. Settled 2 lengths from the leaders is Summer who seems pretty settled near the rail. As they head into the first of the two turns, it's still a three way battle at the front between Loquat Dance, Cancun's Golden Rhythm, & Black Night. These three are really going at it and are lengthening their lead over Silver Streak & Xtra Stormy who are heads apart.

 This pace is becoming more insane than we once predicted, all three front runners have now pulled 7 lengths in front of Silver Streak who now is a half ahead of Xtra Stormy as they approach the middle of the backstretch. Summer still settled behind those two. So far though, its been all Loquat Dance, Cancun's Golden Rhythm, & Black Night. Each one wants to be ahead of the other! Into the final turn and into the homestretch! Summer is starting to kick it into gear and has moved up along side of Silver Streak & Xtra Stormy. All three of them are starting to eat into the leader's lead. Black Night is  in front now with Loquat Dance just off flank. Cancun's Golden Rhythm is just aside Loquat Dance. Neither of these two are finished yet though even with such a killer pace. What an effort by all of these horses! Loquat Dance has a renewed vigor it seems and pulls even with Black Night. Cancun's Golden Rhythm is a half behind them and digging in! Silver Streak, Xtra Stormy, & Summer are heads apart as they cut the distance from the leaders in half.

Only 2 furlongs left! Loquat Dance & Black Night are the leaders, neck and neck! Cancun's Golden Rhythm is staying up with them. Silver Streak, Xtra Stormy, & Summer are still neck to neck as they are only 1 1/2 lengths from the lead horse now! Loquat Dance & Black Night both showing signs of be tired but neither are willing to give up at this time! Cancun's Golden Rhythm is hanging with them but seems to not have anything left to come at them again. Xtra Stormy is getting just ahead of Summer & Silver Streak. Last furlong! Loquat Dance gets a head in front but Black Night comes back to be even with him! Cancun's Golden Rhythm flicks his tail as Xtra Stormy draws aside him. Summer & Silver Streak neck to neck just behind them. And as they come to the line, it Looks like it's Loquat Dance with a head in front! Black Night finishes second. Cancun's Golden Rhythm holds off a Xtra Stormy for third. Photo finish for 5th between Summer & Silver Streak.

Very good race to everyone, extremely close entire way. Front runners put in some incredible efforts to hold off the rest for the entire race.
