Let's meet this year's field:
(note, don't take workout times or comments to heart. they are just for entertainment value ;). also note, was trying to make comments sort of interesting to make you think, so do not worry if they aren't as positive as you would have liked. they don't matter, what happens race time matters)
-also, all workouts were rounded to closest.. didn't feel like putting the "change" ;)

Post Position One:
Flawless Escape - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Legacy Forever Stables
3:1-0-1-1 Record, Most likely will come from behind
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 3 seconds.
"Starting from the inside post is the horse who won the Derby. This colt is looking very good for this race and is a solid solid horse, but he will face a lot of new challenges for this race. A lot of new horses are coming in and threaten this favorite. Will he be able to dazzle everyone once more?"

Post Position Two:
Forgotten in Time - 3yo Black Colt - Owned by Panache Racing Stables
3:0-0-0-3 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 5 seconds
"Here comes one of the many new contenders in this race. This colt looks good but he has never placed better than 4th in his 3 lifetime races. He ran on the 20th in a Grade 3 Sprint Race where he placed 4th and may be slightly tired coming into this race."

Post Position Three:
Mr. Turbo - 3yo Brown Colt - Owned by Zephyr Wind Acres
2:1-0-0-1 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 2 seconds
"This colt placed 4th in the derby and I think he's got a lot of room to improve. Long as the track stays good, he's definitely one to keep an eye on"

Post Position Four:
Forever Mischief - 3yo Black Colt - Owned by Three Winds Farm
3:0-1-1-1 Record, Most likely will come from behind
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 4 seconds
"This is another new challenger to the triple crown trail. He's coming off a nice 2nd place finish in a grade 2 sprint on the 13th. He may still be slightly tired from that effort, but I think he may be ready in time. If he is, he could pull an upset."

Post Position Five:
Mustang Sally - 3yo Brown Filly - Owned by Fire Ridge Stables
2:0-1-0-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 5 seconds
"This is the only filly in the field again. She placed 11th in the Derby after a long speed duel on the lead. I think she's got room to improve and has the potential to pull an upset."

Post Position Six:
Sunny Day - 3yo Liver Chestnut Colt - Owned by Three Winds Farm
3:0-0-2-1 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 6 seconds
"Sunny Day is one of the big question marks in this field. He's a new challenger and is a good horse, but he's never started on the dirt. All three of his career races were on various turf distances. He seems to be taking to it fine, but will the fact he's never run a race on the dirt effect him? Or is he a versatile enough horse to overcome it?"

Post Position Seven:
Black Knight - 3yo Black Colt - Owned by Leavenworth Ranch
3:1-1-0-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 1 second
"This guy had a tough battle in the derby and ended up finishing 8th. He's been improving and looking real good lately. If he has a good race, I think he may be able to turn heads."

Post Position Eight:
Foxwood Prince - 3yo Brown Colt - Owned by Foxwood Farms
3:0-3-0-0 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 2 seconds
"Here is the colt that came in 2nd in the derby. This horse has never placed better or worse than second in his career and he's one heck of a horse. I think he can improve off his last start, but like Flawless Escape, he may be overcome by a few of the newer horses. He's still one to watch regardless."

Post Position Nine:
Cancun's Golden Rhythm - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Zephyr Wind Acres
2:0-0-1-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute and change
"This horse is absolutely amazing. He pretty much pulled a 12 clip in his latest workout and is really tearing up the track. He's a new challenger and is coming off a 4th place finish in a grade 3 race on 1 1/4 miles dirt. As long as he's not pushed to the point of burning out and has a good trip, I really think this horse could run away with this race."

Post Position Ten:
Pete's Comet - 3yo Grey Colt - Owned by Q.T. Stables
2:0-1-0-1 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 5 seconds
"Pete's Comet placed 12th in the derby and has been working pretty well since. He's got a lot of potential and i think he has a chance to do well here if he has a clear shot. I'd keep an eye on this one, not just for this race but for races to come."

Post Position Eleven:
Shadowbrook Symphony - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Sweet Shadowbrook Stables
3:2-0-0-1 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 6 seconds
"Symphony placed a disappointing 15th in the derby. He's been doing pretty good since then, but I really do not think we've seen this guy's full potential yet. If he gets a better trip than he had in the Derby, watch out for him."

Post Position Twelve:
Shatterglass - 3yo Chestnut Colt - Owned by Leavenworth Ranch
3:0-1-0-2 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 3 seconds
"Shatterglass placed 10th in the derby after never really firing. He's put in some really nice workouts and is definitely improving. Not quite sure if he can win this, but I think if he gets a good enough trip, he may be able to either pull an upset or place top 5-6"

Post Position Thirteen:
Ringside Dream - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Panache Racing Stables
3:1-1-0-1 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 3 seconds
"He's coming off a 5th place finish in the derby which most definitely qualified him for this race. He's been working well and has been showing a lot of spunk during his time here. If he runs as well as he looks, he may be able to improve upon his last race."

Post Position Fourteen:
Loquat Dance - 3yo Dapple Grey Colt - Owned by Legacy Forever Stables
3:2-0-0-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 5 seconds
"Loquat Dance placed a disappointing 13th in the derby. Since then, he's been working pretty well and looks to be trying to improve off the derby run."

Post Position Fifteen:
Empire Maker - 3yo Chestnut Colt - Owned by Foxwood Farms
3:1-0-2-0 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 5 Furlongs in 1 minute, 5 seconds
"Here is the colt that placed 3rd in the derby. He's never placed lower than 3rd in his lifetime and the way he's been working it looks like he's ready and wanting to do better than that. He's got the skill. Can he do it?"

6th Shadowbrook Symphony Sweet Shadowbrook Stables 20 ex 4 lengths 122.95 Chased a fast pace and couldn't make up ground leaders had made on him. Was caught at the wire by the 3 ahead of him.

7th Empire Maker Foxwood Farms 20 ex 4 3/4 lengths 117.11 Was forced wide most of the race which took a lot out of him. He put in a nice run near the end, but just didn't have enough left.

8th Mustang Sally Fire Ridge Stables 20 ex 5 1/4 lengths 111.04 Hung with the leaders for awhile during the race but eventually slipped back. She didn't seem to like the mud but she did put in a good run for awhile. Very courageous horse.

9th Foxwood Prince Foxwood Farms 20 ex 6 lengths 108.37 Had a rough race, never had running room till the end and by then he was flustered. Made a move at the end, but was too late.

10th Shatterglass Leavenworth Ranch 20 ex 6 1/4 lengths 105.04 Was forced wide around first turn and had to pick up his pace early on to find a good spot. Was in striking position, but had nothing left.

11th Mr. Turbo Zephyr Wind Acres 10 ex 6 1/2 lengths 101.64 Was bumped coming out of the gate. Disliked mud being thrown into his face and never kicked in.

12th Forever Mischief Three Winds Farm 10 ex 7 lengths 99.59 Bumped coming out of gate, never had room to make a move, and never fired. A lot of bad racing luck for this guy.

13th Black Knight Leavenworth Ranch 10 ex 7 3/4 lengths 90.70 Broke a beat behind everyone else. He hated being behind horses and burnt himself out early on.

14th Forgotten in Time Panache Racing Stables 10 ex 8 1/2 lengths 85.94 Got boxed in on the rail early on in the race. Never found a hole until it was much too late.

15th Sunny Day Three Winds Farm 10 ex 14 lengths 59.49 Stumbled coming out of the gate and never really recovered. Didn't seem to favor the mud much either. Just a lot of bad luck.

Congratulations to all contenders in the race. Was one heck of a race as evident by the PR's. Still shocked by results though, didn't think this set of results would happen ;). Anyways, the top five finishers are guaranteed a spot  in the last jewel of the triple crown (the courage stakes) - if they nominate that is. If you didn't place in the top 5 but still want a chance in the next race, you are welcomed to nominate, but no there are no guarantees your horses will be accepted if field goes beyond 25 horses.
