(note, don't take workout times or comments to heart. they are just for entertainment value ;). also note, was trying to make comments sort of interesting to make you think, so do not worry if they aren't as positive as you would have liked. they don't matter, what happens race time matters)
-also, all workouts were rounded to closest.. didn't feel like putting the "change" ;)

Post Position One:
Pete's Comet - 3yo Grey Colt - Owned by Q.T. Stables
3:0-1-0-2 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 22 seconds
"Starting from the inside post is a horse to keep an eye on today. His workouts haven't been too great but he seems to be improving racing wise. He too 12th in the Derby and came back in the Seven Oaks Stakes to pull off a 4th. Can he continue to improve?"

Post Position Two:
Ringside Dream - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Panache Racing Stables
4:1-1-0-2 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 16 seconds
"This colt is a solid contender for this race. He's placed 5th in both the Liberty Derby and the Seven Oaks Stakes and has proven to be a consistent horse. He's got plenty of room to improve and he's looking rather good, definitely one to watch."

Post Position Three:
Empire Maker - 3yo Chestnut Colt - Owned by Foxwood Farms
4:1-0-2-1 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 18 seconds
"He placed 3rd in the Liberty Derby and had some tough luck in the Seven Oaks Stakes where he placed 7th. He's been working very well since that race and seems determined to put in  a better race here."

Post Position Four:
Cancun's Golden Rhythm - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Zephyr Wind Acres
3:0-1-1-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 13 seconds
"This is very impressive looking colt. He placed 2nd in the Seven Oaks Stakes and he's returned here today looking to improve from that race. He's definitely got the most raw talent at this distance and has been working awesomely lately. The only problem he's going to face is a lot of competition fighting for the lead. Even if he is a monster at this distance, if he's pushed way too hard he may have some difficulties holding off the few come from behinders."

Post Position Five:
Black Knight - 3yo Black Colt - Owned by Leavenworth Ranch
4:1-1-0-2 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 15 seconds
"He's not been doing too well past two times out but I honestly think we've not seen the best of this talented colt. He placed 8th in the Derby and 13th in the Seven Oaks Stakes and i'm sure he's looking to show what he's made of in this race. With the speed expected, he may not be able to keep up the pace, but time will tell."

Post Position Six:
Gone Racin - 3yo Brown Colt - Owned by Queen Elizabeth Raceway
5:2-0-1-2 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 27 seconds
"He ran on the 7th of this month in a Grade I race in which he placed 3rd. I'm not quite sure if he's ready to run after that, but if he does bounce back in time he could be a threat in this race"

Post Position Seven:
Foxwood Prince - 3yo Brown Colt - Owned by Foxwood Farms
4:0-3-0-1 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 19 seconds
"He placed 2nd in the Derby and, like his stablemate, had tough luck in the Seven Oaks where he placed 9th. He's worked very well and seems fit and ready to go for this race. Long as he has no traffic problems and finds good position, he may be able to do as well as he did in the Derby"

Post Position Eight:
Mr. Turbo - 3yo Brown Colt - Owned by Zephyr Wind Acres
3:1-0-0-2 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 17 seconds
"He ran very well in the Derby but placed a disappointing 11th in the Seven Oaks. He returns here today to try to make up for that race it seems. He's been working well and looks raring to go."

Post Position Nine:
Sunny Day - 3yo Liver Chestnut Colt - Owned by Three Winds Farm
4:0-0-2-2 Record, Most likely will mid pack
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 22 seconds
"This colt is one of the outsiders here today. He placed 15th in the Seven Oaks and has only been working decently lately. He's a promising colt, but i'm not sure if he'll be able to upset this tough field. Time shall tell."

Post Position Ten:
Flyway - 3yo Black Colt - Owned by Three Winds Farm
3:0-0-2-1 Record, Most likely will come from behind
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 20 seconds
"He ran in a Grade II 1 1/2 Mile Dirt race a few weeks ago in which he placed a nice 3rd. This will be his first triple crown race attempt, and he's got a pretty good chance. He likes this distance and is one of the two come from behinders in this very speedy field."

Post Position Eleven:
Shadowbrook Symphony - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Sweet Shadowbrook Symphony
4:2-0-0-2 Record, Most likely will stalk the pace
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 19 seconds
"He placed 15th in the derby then came back in the Seven Oaks to put in a 6th place finish. He's much room to improve and if he is in the right mind frame for this race, watch out."

Post Position Twelve:
Loquat Dance - 3yo Dapple Grey Colt - Owned by Legacy Forever Stables
4:3-0-0-1 Record, Most likely will try for the lead
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 15 seconds
"This horse is a very nice looking horse. He ran horribly in the Derby and placed 13th, came back to win the Seven Oaks Stakes. He's looking to run as well as he has in the past, and he may be able to do it. But with the speed, he may be at a slight disadvantage like many others in this field."

Post Position Thirteen:
Tears Are With Love - 3yo Bay Colt - Owned by Queen Elizabeth Raceway
4:0-0-2-2 Record, Most likely will come from behind
Latest Workout: 6 Furlongs in 1 minute, 23 seconds
"He placed a decent 7th place in the Derby and he skipped the Oaks to run in an Allowance on 1 1/4 miles dirt which he placed 3rd. He's back for this race and looks ready to go."

Placing Horse's Name Owner Earned Distance Rating Description
1st Foxwood Prince Foxwood Farms 550,000 SM, 40 Pts, 100 ex -- 166.56 Had a perfect trip and a perfect ride. He stayed just behind and bided his time until the top of the stretch where he just exploded. Drove past the leaders who had been pushed to insane paces to take it.

2nd Cancun's Golden Rhythm Zephyr Wind Acres 250,000 SM, 25 pts, 75 ex 3 1/2 lengths 155.05 Was up on the lead most of the race and was pushed into insane early fractions. He hung on for a bit was over taken in stretch.

3rd Empire Maker Foxwood Farms 130,000 SM, 15 pts, 50 ex 4 3/4 lengths 142.43 Ran a nice race but got caught in traffic and was forced to go around late. Still ran a heck of a race.

4th Ringside Dream Panache Racing Stables 50,000 SM, 10 pts, 25 ex 5 1/4 lengths 122.21 Again ended up chasing a fast pace but he ran a much smarter race this time out. He still faded slightly in the stretch, but still a very good effort. I don't think we've seen his best.

5th Tears Are With Love Queen Elizabeth Raceway 20,000 SM, 5 pts, 25 ex 5 3/4 lengths 114.84 Came on very late in the race from pretty much dead last to score a 5th place finish. Very game effort.

6th Sunny Day Three Winds Farm 20 ex 6 lengths 113.02 Ran a very well but had some traffic troubles in the stretch. When he finally had room it was too late to make any type of move.

7th Pete's Comet Q.T. Stables 20 ex 6 1/2 lengths 109.82 Never really fired, didn't have much excuse other than it wasn't his day.

8th Mr. Turbo Zephyr Wind Acres 20 ex 7 1/4 lengths 97.29 Followed front runners too closely and burnt himself out chasing an insane pace.

9th Loquat Dance Legacy Forever Stables 20 ex 7 1/4 lengths 97.08 Tired in the stretch after staying on the lead for awhile.

10th Black Knight Leavenworth Ranch 20 ex 7 1/2 lengths 96.70 Was on lead most of race and didn't have anything left for the stretch after being pushed to the limits.

11th Flyway Three Winds Farm 10 ex 8 lengths 95.20 Was trailing the field like he likes, but never really fired.

12th Gone Racin Queen Elizabeth Raceway 10 ex 10 lengths 84.06 Never fired, never was in contention. Bad day for him.

13th Shadowbrook Symphony Sweet Shadowbrook Stables 10 ex 10 1/2 lengths 80.86 Stumbled badly coming out and never regained himself.

Congratulations to all the runners in all three races this year. Not even close to a triple crown winner this year, but oh well ;).
