Left Wing, page 4

Here is a good view of the 4 inch inspection access port cut in the bottom skin to get access to this fuel clamp.

This fuel line wanted to move slightly, and there was a dangerously sharp screw near by, so I decided to install a clamp here.

I added some protection here where the fuel lines pass through the root rib (slit rubber tubing held in place by silicon adhesive).

This is different then the right wing fuel system! Zenith provided a threaded return port at the top of the left main tank. This is for engines that require a return line to the fuel tank. My first impulse was to plug the opening, but then I thought why limit my engine choices. I have installed a fitting and a fuel line with a hose clamp (very hard to reach behind the rib) and I installed a half grommet secured with silicon adhesive because of a clearance problem at the top of the rib hole. I will plug the hose if I later decide I am not going to need it.
