The year was 1938. A time when the Industrial Revolution’s reverberations were not yet felt in the interiors of South India. A time of scarce capital and resources. One man stood out like a beacon. Shri P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja almost single-handedly set up the first spinning mill at Rajapalayam – an arid land 50 km in the heart of South India. It was to become the focal point of the Ramco Group.
