Welcome to the home of the Moondance Huskies Sleddog Team. Located in central Connecticut, I care for a kennel of ten wonderful sleddogs. My team and I run recreationally, race in local races and do demonstrations, many of them for schools. I have been involved in dogsledding since 1992 after adopting my first two huskies, Kira and Moon. It happened by "accident", but in looking back, I would do it again in a hearbeat. I have Alaskan Huskies and Siberian Huskies and with the exception of one "home-grown" Alaskan/Siberian cross, all of my dogs are rescues or give-aways. I work very hard to build a love and trust bond with my dogs. Sharing the love they have to give is a great reward and the trust is essential, especially when we are out of the trail together. My dogs are athletes as well as beloved pets. They receive the best care at all times and we are very fortunate to have a wonderful vet to help keep them in perfect health. Most of our running is done at Cockaponsett State Forest. Please feel free to say hello and share our tales.
