Ok... Bobby wants five groomsmen so this is who he's picked...
Greg... Greg is my one of my older brothers. He lives with his girlfriend Lynda here in Sydney. They have one son.
When we came over to Aussie nearly four years ago Bobby went and stayed with Greg for four months while saving up for us to join him.
Both Greg and Lynda helped us out so much.
Bobby had always felt slack about not being able to repay Greg so he's hoping that this will show Greg how apprecitaive he is. I'm so rapt. Greg's in Brisbane at the moment but as soon as he gets back Bobby will talk to him.
Adam... Adam is one of Bobbys younger brothers.
He, his wife Sharon and their four children live in Sydney also.
They've been in Aussie for almost three years now.
Bobby junior... Everyone calls him JJ...
Bobby has four children from a previous relationship.
Though the other three children lived with their grandparents, JJ was brought up with us. He's the oldest of the four, now 21.
I met Bobby when JJ was only five years old.
We're shouting him, his girlfriend Kijiana and their baby Tyrone a trip over for our wedding.
I'm so glad he's coming. I havent seen any of them since moving over here. Bobby has though. He went back at the beginning of the year for JJ's 21st. I couldnt make it there due to financial difficulties.
James... James is Bobbys brother-in-law.
He is with Bobbys sister Gaye.. They have two wondeful girls, Anna 15 and Mellisa 8 (better confirm that)
Gaye, James and the girls came over to Australia at the end of 2001. Gaye had to come over here for treatment of breast cancer. I want to say too that with the brilliant work of the nurses and doctors of the North Shore Royal Hospital, Gaye is very well and there is no longer any sign of cancer WOOHOO.
James has been a part of Bobbys family for over 20 years now so of course Bobby wanted him to be by his side on our special day.
Sooo... they are Bobbys groomsmen.. I gotta admit they are the type to tar and feather Bobby and tie him to a post...lol.. As long as its not the day before our wedding they'll be fine but god watch out if they dont get Bobby to the alter (so-to-speak) on time...LOL

I gotta say that when Bobby and I first talked about the wedding party I thought he was going to have a best man and me a brides maid.. As you can see from above.. thats not the case..
Because Bobby wanted three groomsmen I had to find counter parts for them..lol..
It wasnt that easy either.. I find it so hard to trust women.. Long story so I wont get into it. Anyway.. These girls are the ones I wanted to be there right by my side to share my special moment.
Joanne... Some people will wonder why I have asked Jo to be my leading brides maid (I dont know what you call them.. maid of honour?)
To be honest.. I dont care.. I have only known her for 5 months and yet she knows me probably better than anyone. Even my family. Dare I say.. even Bobby?.. ok.. she knows me as well as Bobby.
Its funny how I have allowed her to know very personal details of my life but thats how comfortable I feel talking to her.
She has boosted my confidence and self esteem like no other person has.
I was so unbelievably happy when she said yes.

Lisa... Lisa is an amazing person too. She is Bobbys niece and is 23 years old.
She's moving in with us soon. Gotta admit that she has stayed with us before and things were a bit.. ummmmm... hows-ur-father but since then we have so much in common. WW being one of them.
Lisa is going to be showing me different bridal shops around Sydney since she knows the city well. Gosh I cant wait.
Also... Lisa is giving us an awesome wedding present.. She's shouting us the limo ride to and from the gardens where we will be getting married.
How awesome is that?!!
Oh yeah.. Lisa has been in Sydney for three and a half years now.
Mahalia... Hali is my brother Shanes wife. They have five children and live in New Zealand.
I asked Hali to be my bridesmaid for two reasons.
First.. She has been with my brother for 20 years and through it all she has put up with in-law shit from us and handled it awesomely. To me she's very staunch.
Secondly.. I wanted them to come coz she's never been out of New Zealand and this was the only way I knew she would definately come...LOL
Donna... Donna is Bobbys cousins wife and a friend of mine from NZ. We played netball together 6 years ago. (*ahem*.. I was 116 kilos then. I shouldnt have been playing at all..lol) I'm glad she is able to come over. She needs a break. I asked Donna because.. well... I might get into that later on.
These are my ladies that are going to help me become Mrs Bobby Walker. Muwwwaaaahhh to you all!!!

I know its been a while since I wrote in here, Besides the fact that I have been a little busy, I just didnt want to face the fact that Jo wont be coming over for my big day :o(.. What a major bummer!!
Blame can be placed on noones head so I wont go on about it..
Its gonna be hard to replace her actually. I really have no idea as to who I'm gonna get just yet.
I want to try and involve our younger kids, Carmen, Slade and Krystal in our wedding too so I'm gonna see what can be done about that.. As for Bobbette and Venus??.. I'm not even sure if they're coming or not. They dont tell us anything now..*sigh*

The Plan!!!
My dress will be midnight blue and white. I thought it would be too cheeky of me to wear white coz of my age and the fact that I have kids and Bobby and I have been together for over 17 years. I've been told to wear what I want to since its my special day but I like the colour I've picked. If I can I'll get a picture of the dress too. In the next couple of days I hope.
I would discribe it to you all but I'm so hopeless at doing that so you'll have to be patient until the pic is done.
Anyway.. As I stated the colour is midnight blue and white. The blue is silk and the white is chiffone. It has tiny rhinestones in a small diagonal pattern in white on the blue part on the dress and another small pattern in blue on the white part of the dress.
Gosh!.. I told you I was hopeless!
The brides maids will be very very similar only there wont be patterns and the dresses will be lighter blue.
I havent really decided on anything else. Good grief how hopeless am I hey?... Fuck!.. I'm gonna be out of time before I know it.. Anyway.. I'll keep you up to date with everything.

I went to take a picture of my dress today and they've taken the dress off the "dummy".. Bummer!.. I had a look at some patterns today too. The tart in the shop made it known to me that no way in hell am I gonna be able to fit in the lovely dress I want to wear so I'm gonna see if I can get one made that's very similar.. Who rude some sales people can be hey?.. Bitch is all I can say. It took a lot to enhance my calm and stop myself swearing at her thats for sure...LOL Ahhhh well... Such is life I guess.

OMG guess what!!?? I have found a wedding planner AND a dress maker for the wedding.
She's been right under my nose all along and I didnt know.
Its a friend of mine whom I used to work with.. We were chatting online last night (on yahoo coz of the ad thing in msn) anyway.. I was giving her the low down on the wedding which wasnt a lot...lol.. and she asked if I was buying or having a dress made.. I told her what happened with the tart in the shop so she ASKED if she could make the dresses. How cool is that!??
Apparently she's a seamstress and she's made 4 wedding dress already. God I'm lucky.
Not only that though... She also asked if I had a wedding planner and offered her services.
I know she's more than capable of planning the wedding but I had no idea that she knew how to sew.. WOOHOO!!!
Half the battle won dont you think? Awesome.. simply awesome.
Lei has has so many contacts in the hospitality industry that it will be a hell of a lot cheaper.. Good grief I cant wait to move into our new home so I can get started on everything else. I meet up with Lei early next week.

I know its been awhile. I've been pretty slack but so much has been happening lately that I havent really had the time to plan anything.
I know once the girls have gone back to mum that I'll be able to concentrate on the plans..
Anyway.. I did end up going to Leis last week. Both Lisa and I went up.
What a cool day we had. We went to Leis place and ended up chatting about my hens night.. WOOHOO!
What a lot of planning there is to do, just for a drink with the girls *giggles*

Well... I must say.. its about time I paid this page a visit hey?.. Its been awhile thats for sure.
Anyway... So much has happened since then.
As you've probably read in my journal page, I've had a lot of advice and helpful hints over the past couple of days.
Actually.. I got more done in one day than the whole time since we started planning.
I know the photo of the dresses arent that clear but what do you think?.. Prety cool huh?.. Deeppurple colours will be added to my dress but that wont happen for a while yet. Probaly in the next month or so.
I had asked my daughter to try the dress on because no way in hell am I gonna put it on till I've lost more weight.
She had it pinned up at the back which is why it looked like it fit her pretty well. Its too big for me too but then, its a size 24 so it should be
I tried one of the brides maids dresses on yesterday. (a size 20) and God I felt great because it fit.
You'll probably notice that I bought the mauve dresses..lol.. I was going to go for blue but earlier it was going to be purple anyway and the dresses I got (thanks to Coralyn) were so reasonably priced I just HAD to get them.. And guess what?... I had guesstimated that the dresses all up were gonna cost around about 1700 dollars and I bout the five dress for less than 500.. A 700 dollar saving.. OMG!!.. Great huh?
I still havent been ablt to come up with a fourth person in my wedding party.. Bobby's all sussed out but its so hard to choose.
I sat down and checked out prices for the food. So far the cheapest I've come up with is $40 per head. I know I'll be bale to take that down a little but so far thats where it is.
I decided not to have the reception at home which is what I was going to do.
Bobby brought up a valid point.
We're going to be having a lot of people from home and most likely staying with us (or at the very least they'll be around every day) Not that I'm complaining.. I know what we're in for and to be honest I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway.. with all our visitors Bobby said that we'll have enough to contend with let alone having 100+ guests for our wedding on the day. So true too.
Sooooo... I'm thinking either having the reception at a club or catering for it at a hall.
Why a hall?.. To be honest, its because there arent a lot of chefs that I trust. Actually.. there's only one I DO trust. Gary.. And I'm not sure if he'll still be at St George Leagues come September.
I know if I choose to do the catering at home, Gary will help me so I might just go for that.
I have a few things in the works but I wont add anything to this page till I know what I want to do.
Saying that.. I'm gonna call it a night. I'm tired and for some reason I feel out of sorts.. Probably because I'm due for my monthly... Anyway.. thats enough of that...lol.. I'll be back. Hopefully next time it'll be to post pictures of the wedding party. woohoo!.. Till then though (or till the next entry anyway..) Take care.
