Segment 1

Linda- This is Speaker Linda Polley! It's April 7th, 2,007, and "Here's Jesus!" This first segment was originally released October 14, 2,002!

Linda- Eloise's next question is "I was told that you were the only child of Mary & Joseph, or as in history of Mary's that you had several step brothers and sisters. What is the truth in this matter?"

Nazarene- Well, Eloise, the truth in this matter is I had 3 brothers and 4 sisters, and my mother and father also took in several foundlings. We had a very large and active family. My brothers and sisters were very influential in the Jewish community, not only myself. I could not have carried out my ministry without them. They often provided me shelter, and, provisions, and arranged for me to have places where I could gather the people and speak. Without their assistance my ministry would have been nothing. These people that you seem to have been taught by are very unlearned people. I don't think any of them have ever read the Bible! My brothers are mentioned several times in the Bible, I don't know why my sisters are not. It is, you know, a very strange, strange phenomena that so much that happened in that time was left out. Even my dear Demetrius could not put everything in his Book about me because there was just no record of it! Sometimes this was done purely for the fact people did not want to be included in the writings because they did not want to be famous. They wanted to be quiet, and, obscure. And when someone asks this you have to honor their wishes.

Linda- I was an only child, Nazarene, and always wondered what it would have been like to have the companionship of brothers and sisters. I hate to see brothers and sisters fighting over silly, foolish things. They don't understand how precious their bond is.

Nazarene- How true it is, Alura, How true it is! Many brothers and sisters fight over absolute nonsense and throw away the most precious gift they have.

Linda- We'll be back after the break!

Segment 2

Linda- We're back! Nazarene, I am so delighted with Your friendship with my husband, that You trust him so much with everything that is so precious to You! Can You explain to our listeners what such a friendship is like?

Nazarene- Alura, it is so hard to put such a friendship into words! To know that there is someone that you can trust, absolutely, to guide your people and protect them and not try to steal any of them away. To take those that truly belong to him, yes, that are working for me but are really of his people, and to take them out, put them to the tasks that they are supposed to be doing, that is perfectly acceptable! But someone that would not try in any way to steal what is yours, and take what is yours, only use them and guide them in your way. Such a friendship, Alura, is hard to put into words! To make people understand that there is someone that you can trust absolutely, to do what you need to have done, and that person is going to do it, and even if it would benefit him to do it in another way, he wouldn't do it, he would do what needs to be done for your purpose! It is hard for peoplet understand that such people exist, Alura, they are so used to being used and and abused and people taking advantage of them, they cannot understand that there are people that love others so much that they will do what needs to be done for them, without question, even if it isn't to their benefit! Such a friendship is hard to explain!

Linda- That's really great, Nazarene! It's kind of like us and our friends Elgard and Lorn!

Nazarene- Alura, it is quite like that, it is quite like that, indeed!

Linda- We'll be back again!
