KATEMAS 2004    Kinderdijk, The Netherlands

Well, Katemas is behind us again and I've now made some time to do a little write-up about this year's Katemas in the Netherlands.

It's very short: nobody showed up.

So there was no picnic in Kinderdijk but a day of sunbathing on my balcony and creativity on my part. I finished a drawing and wrote a few song lyrics I'm quite satisfied with.

Instead of this fiasco, there will probably be an album launch party when Kate's new instant classic album will be released. This idea came from fellow fan Danielle who would have come if she hadn't forgotten the date and made other appointments on the 30th. Optimistic as we are over here in Holland, we believe against all odds that it'll be still this year.

Of course you'll hear from me when and if this event will take place. I'm not going to organise any Katemas parties in the Netherlands anymore before the album comes out, as it just seems pointless and a waste of time at the moment. Virtually nobody showed interest this year which I regard a sign that people are (apparently) tired of celebrating Katemas. Alas.
