I am trying to express the true sense of Islam ,using my own view -as I feel it and love it-as well as the views of muslims and even non-muslims.It is a religon of modesty,fairness,morals and peace.It is a religon that minds accept.
The quran was sent in a period in which there were no scientific researches ,in a period that people thought that the moon lights the night like the sun in the morning
However ,there were many verses in the quran dealing with creation(of man and universe)and mentioned things that weren't discovered except recently.surely, prophet mohammed -pbuh-interpreted these verses ,but he provided simple interpretations that matches people's knowledge in that period.And he explained that ALLAH-glorious be him-shall preserve his words,as ALLAH says:"we have without doubt sent down the message and we will assurely guard it".
The prophet added also that the quran will be the everlastng miracle ,and that there would be a coming period in which new discoveries will help people understand the true meanings of verses that werenot clearly understood before
"In the name of allah the most gracious the most mreciful:"we shall soon show them our signs in the horizons and in themselves till it is evident to them that it is the truth ,and does it not suffice as to your lord that he is the ever-present witness over everything,...surat fussilat,verse # 53
