1 Oct 02 Diane: Diane is getting out of the hospital a day early. She will be released from St. Mary's on Wed Oct 2. and she will begin her out-patient therapy on Friday. She spent most of her day at Lisa's side. She is very excited about her day on Wednesday. Lisa: Lisa decided on her own it was time for the trach to come out, apparently she pulled it out on her own Monday night. Strong decided to leave it out and see how she does. So far So good. Now she has a voice to go w/ those mouth movements. Her speech is not clear most of the time, but she is trying. She started her rehab on the very first day back at St. Mary's. David: David is doing very well with his tutors and hopes to catch up to his school classes before too long. Peter: Peter continues to do well and is excited to see all the families improvements. X-rays from a follow up Drs appointment show that fluid is re-collecting in the lung and one rib slow to heal but his overall condition is improving well. Peter's parents who have been with them since the accident are returning home to attend another grandchild's bar mitzvah. They have been very instrumental in helping David and Peter get around and helping them out @ home. They will return next week to continue their support.
