The Connemara pony originated after Spanish shipwreck on the shores of Connmara. The horses on that ship bred with the local ponies to produce the Connemara pony!!!
Welcome to Connemara Mania. as you can see it is about connemara ponies. The gorgeous pony up the top is the english connemara stallion, Spinway Comet.
I own 2 Connemara Ponies.
1One is a 22 year old mare named
"Barwidgee Fern" she is grey and is 13.2hh.
2 The other one is a grey, 14.2hh gelding named "Blandings Foxford" or just 'Foxy', he is 24.
3 I have just got a 3 year old bay connemara called Glenormiston Dashing Dan. He was brought down from Queensland from the Glenormiston Stud as a present for my 13th Birthday! I have lessons on him, he is great!
Connemara ponies are mostly grey but can be any other solid colour (eg. black, brown, chesnut etc.) there can also be the occaisional roan.
