If you survived through a war, wouldn't you want a prize?
During World War II in the Philippines, many soldiers were forced to be apart of the Bataan Death March, and also became POW's of the Japanese. Many had died, but some did survive.
But still, decades later, they still have compensated for surviving the death march. Which is a very traumatizing situation that they were in.
With Bill # 595, the veterans that survived the Bataan Death March will get what they deserved, which are $4 each day they were held in captivity by the Japanese
So if you went through the same situation that they did, would you want compensation?
I would… so vote for bill # HR 595
