Often its quite hard to really understand the scale of the ships in Freespace, Destroyers are stated to be 2km long, with most fighters around 20m long. This is hard to believe, due to a combination of features, such as the extures used. These few images I threw togother highlight the actual scale of the FS universe.
The average family home, roughly 10m by 5m:
The GTB Xerxes, roughly 40m long, parked next to it:
And the GTD angel, just a snip under 2km long. Imagine trying to get that parked around town.
