"It's All In The Movies" would introduce us to Roy Nichols' 'fuzz guitar'. We are also entering the Leona Williams era of Merle's music. Leona would become Merle's 3rd wife and collaborator on most of his albums from 1976-83.

I've always wondered if Leona wasn't interested in Merle just to further her music career? Merle himself said regarding Leona in his My House Of Memories-For The Record "...I want to thank you for leaving me, it was the best thing that ever happened to me". Even with this love/hate relationship, Merle would compose some of the most beautiful 'love songs' of his career during this period.

I give this an 8 because of the obvious filler material included. "Stingeree" and "Hag's Dixied Blues #2" were recorded for the scrapped studio project "I Love Dixie Blues". With that said there are some real gems here that never got much airplay. "Living With The Shades Pulled Down" and "Let's Stop Pretending" could have been #1 hits if properly marketed.

The opinions above are solely those of Sound_man73. If you're like me you'll collect the music either way :)
