"Introducing My Friends" is the sequel to "The Instrumental Sounds Of Merle haggard's Strangers". This recording has Merle introducing many of the tracks. The track "Street Singer" is superb with Merle doing a narration of sorts during the song. This pickers on this album would be the lineup for many years to come! Here we are introduced to Bobby Wayne on rhythm guitar, Dennis Hromek on bass and the great Biff Adam on drums. Biff would play with Merle until 2010 until ill health forced him to retire. That's 40 years of the grind. Incredibly, Norman Hamlet started with Merle in 1967 and is still with him to this day! This one is a must have for the Roy Nichols fans out there. His 'telecaster' is in rare form here! The opinions above are solely those of Sound_man73.
