Shelley Hanson | bio
Shelley Hanson has been practicing seashell divination for 18 years. Following media appearances on TV and the radio (WEIM, Psychic Encyclopedia television show and Barbara and You television show), she was invited to write a column on seashell divination for The Kaleidoscope Journal. She has just submitted the 15th article in this popular series. She is delighted to share the wisdom of the shells in her new book, Ocean Oracle, The Language of Seashells. This includes a companion set of 200 seashell cards depicting the shells discussed in the book. Together, the book and cards enable the reader to work with his own divination messages.
A seashell reader named Shelley; it seems the hand of destiny must have been involved. Shelley honestly feels that her entire life has been a preparation for her career. She first encountered shells at the age of four, the bounty of a vacation trip her grandparents took. Her immediate fascination with these natural works of art spiraled into serious study by the age of eight, when she felt compelled to begin a journal to gather every tidbit of information she could find on shells and mollusks. Her attraction to shells kindled the bliss of learning purely for her own pleasure. It was the first of many gifts the shells would bestow upon her. Over the years, her journal continued to fill, and her personal shell collection grew to its present state of 500 shells from all over the world.
19 years ago, a professional psychic admiring her collection mentioned he had heard of a shell reader. The concept instantly appealed to Shelley, representing the perfect marriage of her lifelong love of shells and her newfound interest in metaphysics. Unfortunately, the psychic couldn't find the contact information to make a reading possible and suggested that Shelly use her own shells for readings. Without having thought about it before, she soon realized that she knew what every shell meant. Her life long study had found a purpose. Shelly began conducting readings for family and friends and became more public as her skills improved.
After witnessing many transforming readings, her desire to share the wisdom from the shells led to media interviews. Shelly sees her role as an ambassador to the shells. The audiences attending her seminars range from third grade school children to retired military officers. This planet is blessed with many powerful teachers that assist us in navigating through life as human beings. You may be familiar with the role crystals, flowers, stones, animals, and trees play, and now she hopes you will consider adding shells.
With the name of Shelley, destiny allowed her to be one of the shells... the one with the vocal cords. She uses them to introduce others to these wonderful seashell partners.
