Paul (Lawrence) didn’t give up on the hope that his girlfriend - Jackie (Ada), will wake up from her coma because he believes this world has miracles. He thinks it is his fault which caused his girlfriend’s condition because he was the one who did the surgery for her.

Henry (Bowie) has been dating Annie for sometime but he still doesn’t want to be committed to one person completely. Annie has changed quite a lot after her brother’s (Gil) death. She gets quieter and treasures her relationship with her boyfriend and friends. Since her brother left a dog for her after his death, she treasures the dog very much. But Henry doesn’t like the dog and he even dumps the dog somewhere so the dog can get lost.

Since Jackie and Steven don’t work in the hospital anymore. Two new doctors- Dorothy(Kit) and Chris(Raymond), work under Henry in the ER. Henry didn’t get along with Dorothy at first but later they start to get attracted to each other. They even have a one-night stand. Henry feels a little guilty but he wasn’t responsible for the thing he has done. He acts like nothing has happen and lies to Annie. Dorothy really loves Henry but she knows he doesn’t love her. Chris is a very talkative and jovial person, and he has a very good relationship with the other doctors and nurses. He usually makes up jokes and play with them. Everyone in the hospital likes him but Anson (Maggie) has a bad impression on him. She thinks he is not mature and not serious about his work. That is why she is very cold to him.

Anson has a sister, Suki (Fiona). She is always very hard on her sister. Anson loves her sister a lot and has high expectations for her because she hopes her sister will become a successful doctor. Anson likes to isolate herself from her colleagues but she treats Paul a little differently. She is very friendly to him and shows some admiration towards him. Paul and Anson are very much alike. They don’t need to socialize; are very good at their jobs but lack of other things outside from their work; share similar interests and take their work as the most important thing. Unfortunately, Paul never knows about her feelings for him and Anson didn’t express her feelings either so they just remain good friends.

Jackie has finally woke up from the coma but her life end very soon afterwards. Paul and Jackie reunite briefly but a fire incident separates them again. This time Jackie is not in a coma, she lost her life. Paul is very sad but soon later he continues his work.

Annie found out about the affair between Henry and Dorothy. She also found out that Henry was actually married to Fion and he left her in the United States four days after they got married. That is why Annie left Hong Kong. Henry was very depressed but his relationship with Dorothy never ended. He slept with her again but he continues to act like nothing has happened between them...

Chris doesn’t understand why Anson dislikes him and treats him coldly. But when Anson cried in front of him because of her ex-boyfriend and after Chris got to know her more, he starts to like her. Chris changes quite a lot because he hopes Anson can accept him. But poor Chris, Anson rejected his love...

Tracy (Yo Yo) has special feelings for Paul because she admires the ways he treats his girlfriend and his sincerity in love. When she broke up with her boyfriend (MC), she was very depressed but luckily Paul was there to comfort her. She starts to like Paul and told him her feeling. They start going out but unfortunately, her life has to go through the same path as Jackie. She got the same illness from her mother and needed to do surgery...

Even though Maggie received a lot of praises from the media for her great acting in this series, I don’t really fancy this series. There are no doubts for Maggie’s acting but the plots are not good. Many scenes didn’t blend well together which make the story very unorganized. Paul is a nice doctor but he is too boring. But Lawrence played the role well and so did Bowie. I don’t like Henry in the story because of the ways he treats all those women. I also have less respect for Annie. As a woman, I think she is stupid to love a man so blindly and continue to give Henry so many chances even though he betrays her many times. That is why she can’t blame anyone for her misfortune because she is the one who gave him all those chances to hurt her or lets those things happen. If she given up on him, I’m sure she can find herself a better man who will treasure her. Anson is not a bad character but there are too little scenes of her so her character is not developed well enough. Maggie played the role well and looks very pretty in those doctor’s outfits, but her character lack certain things. Raymond did a good job at portraying his character as Chris. Never really noticed him until he pairs up with Maggie in this series.
