Beaver Scouting offers children between the ages of 6 and 8 the opportunity to participate in the Scouting movement.

Beaver groups are organised into "Colonies" and these are usually associated with larger Scout Groups with Cubs and Scouts for older children and young people.

 The Beaver Scout Membership Badge -
awarded at a promise ceremony after 4 - 6 weeks in the colony.

 The Beaver Scout Badges -
There are two Beaver Scout Badges issued by the Beaver Scout Leader after consecutive periods of 6 to 8 months of taking part in an active and balanced Colony program.

 The Beaver Scout Challenge -
This is an optional award for individual Beaver Scouts. If attempted, the Challenge should be completed during the last few months in the Colony.
