Every few weeks, Daemen College holds a TGIF party. Different student organizations sponser TGIF's each time. Lambda sponsers a TGIF at least once a semester, each time with a different theme. This year, we held a TGIF right before Halloween. All of us dressed up for it and we held a pumpkin carving contest. Durning Homecoming weekend, Lambda Chi Iota and our brother fraternity, Phi Beta Gamma, sponser Casino Night. This is held in Wick Center, and all of the sisters and brothers run the games. We have many blackjack tables, along with dice games, Spin-the-Wheel games, and a craps table. Prizes are given away during a Chinese auction, which in the past have included DVD players, TVs, and stereos. |
At the end of fall semester, Lambda and Phi Beta have a winter banquet. This past year it was held at the Marriott. We get dressed up and have dinner and dancing all night.
At the end of spring semester, Lambda and Phi Beta have a spring picnic. This is usually held at Ellicot Creek Park. The following morning, just the sisters go to brunch at Flying Tiger's restaurant.
