From Ms. Laura

As most of you may already know, I am a single mother to two beautiful, well behaved, angelic children. Ok, Ok so maybe they dont behave ALL the time. And maybe that angelic part I just made up. But truly they are beautiful to me.
One of the biggest challenges I have in raising them is keeping them focused on The Lord and his word. Even at their ages ( 8 and 6 ) they are exposed to so much. I may can control what they watch on tv and listen to at home, but when they go off to school is another matter. So i have to take the time to show them how to follow Gods word and apply to what they go through now. Gods word applies to us for every situation we might run across. Did you know that?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says "All scriptures is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Here are some useful verses:

For Anger:

Proverbs 29:11-" A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control."

Ephesians 4:26-27-"In your anger do not sin': Do not let the sin go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold."

Some good advice isn't it! God really speaks directly to us..

For Arguing:

Proverbs 18:2-" A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions."

How about doing some good?

3 John 1:11-" Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God."

Pretty powerful stuff huh? There is more!!

How about Gossiping?
Proverbs 16:28-" a perverse man stirs up dissension, and gossip separates close friends."

We could go on and on. God truly knows our hearts and knows what we go through on a day to day basis. But we dont have to search for the answers to lifes troubles and trials. We only have to turn to God and read his word.

I love you all! Ms. Laura
