Chapter 5
The Dream
By night fall, Akina and Taskin had reached the camp only to find a table full of food waiting for them. Crystal had a basket of hay to munch on while they sat down and ate.
"How do you think this got here?"
"No idea Kiny, but I'm glad it's here. Maybe the Gods are watching over us?"
"Taskin! Don't say such things, you might be wrong and aner them."
Taskin nodded in replay and started eating again. Akina only sat there, looking at him. His beautiful greenish-blue eyes, his hair of blue...just as she remebered him. Memeories of their time together played in her mind...
"Kiny! Kiny!! Come on, your going to be late!"
"Taskin! Don't leave me, stop running!"
The little girl tripped on a tree root and tumbled to the ground in a ball. The boy saw this and came running after her...
"Kiny? Are you ok?" no answer
"Kiny..." this time the boy closed his eyes and becan to cry, the girl opened hers to the sound of weeping.
"Please don't cry Taskin...I'm alright, see?" she licked his tears away and kissed his cheek.
"Please don't be sad, I can't be happy when others are sad like you just were."
Both children locked their gazes at eachother and in an instant, the boy kissed the girl on the lips and...
Akina looked up to see Taskin standing over her. She had fallen asleep during the feast. He held out his hand and she took it. Lifted up by his strength, he proceded to dance with her. Swaying back and forth, back and forth, in a constant motion. All the while he was lightly singing a song...
"Little dove, don't you cry. Stand up and face your darkest fears. Little dove, don't be afraid. I'm always here, to guide you..."
Akina stopped and looked at him with a fright.
"How do you know that song...?"
"It was our song, remeber?"
"No! Dareo wrote that song for me...he wrote it for us!!"
"Akina...please..."
"NO!" she started to run away again...running...why was she always running from her problems? Why can't she ever face them?
