Chapter 17
Awaken
After three days of waiting, Taskin finally decided to stand up. Once he yawned, Akina's body stirred, and turned over. Taskin was shocked to see her move for once, he knew she was alive, but...he thought she was paralized. With a small yawn, almost like the sound of a cooing dove, Akina opened her eyes and tried to sit up. Taskin saw her struggle and went back to her side and sat behind her for support.
"Thank you, what happend?" Akina questioned
"I'm not sure, I just saw your body falling to the ground. I ran to catch you and carried you into your tent....you've been out of it for three days now."
Akina's shocked face made Taskin wish he hadn't of said that. but she put her feet on the ground and stood up, grabbed her sword and started to walk out.
"Where are you going Akina?"
"Where Gabriel tells me, but first, I have to find her."
With that it seemed Akina was gone, but Taskin saw her tracks and decided to follow her, before he went, he had to get Nikki. Once she was ready, they set off to find out where the young Akina had run off to.

Nightfall, Akina stopped and looked at the fork in the road of trees. She listened, and heard a light musical note float past her ear. She jerked to the left and started running again, faster and faster. She made no noise as her feet fell in patters on the ground. Taskin and Nikki were right behind her though, in the time she stopped. Quickly and quietly, they followed her, till they both saw somthing they never wanted to know existed.
Standing before them was a giant thing. It had 16 rows of razor teeth, five claws on each hand, and 23 eyes. Nikki screamed as loud and as shrill as she could. It was enough to make Akina look back, and was thrown to the ground by one of the monsters hands. Taskin went and stood in front of Akina, trying to protect her, but before he could get to her, she was up, sword in hand. He face and body were bleeding so much, her armor and skirt were stained red. She jumpped up and sliced her sword through the monsters head, making it scream in pain before it died. Akina fell to the ground, breath heavily and trying to stay awake. Taskin ran to her side, Nikki was still hiding behind the trees. Then, all of a sudden, a laughter broke out around them, it sounded like a hundred people. But only one elf showed her face. Akina looked up and saw Elain, standing tall, looking down at her. Akina closed her eyes as Taskin stood up to fight her, but she threw him to the ground with a spell. She bent down and picked Akina up by her neck, choking her.
"Did you really think that I would let you live? Did you think I forgot about you?"
Choking and clawing at Elains hands, Akina tried to get free but it was an arrow that sent Elain away. Akina fell to the ground with a 'thud'.
"She's hurt badly Gabriel."
"Lets get her and the rest yo a safe place Lilith."
With that, Lilith spoke a spell and Akina, Taskin and Nikki were taken away to a forest stronghold, where they spent a week recovering.
