Chapter 14
Terrible Dream

"Akina......where are you?"
Taskin sits up and looks around, the room is black....just black. He looked around for a candle, and as he looked, candles started to light. He was in his old house, and Akina was there giggling under the table. Not much older then five, it looked as though she was playing hide and seek. He saw himself...a younger self, running into the room and stopping to listen. Akina's giggles were faint, but little Taskin still heard them. He crept up to the table and lifted the tablecloth made of old rags. Akina was frightened at first, but started to laugh, and they both collapsed onto the floor, smiling and laughing.
Taskin turned his face to see Akina standing right in front of him...but she looked different...
"Akina...what’s wrong?" he lifted her face with his finger and saw her laughing....but it scared him slightly. Taking a step back, she looked at him full of rage.
"You poor child, why didn't you die? Weren't you suppose to die!?" She pulled out her sword and started running towards him. Taskin jumped up and was above her, where he landed...he could not see her anywhere. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned his face to see behind himself, and there she stood. With that evil grin on her face, she pushed her sword straight through his back, right past his heart. She pulled it out slowly and watched him drop the the ground. Smiling and started to laugh and walked away. Curling into a tight ball, the pain was horrible....
"Taskin! TASKIN!!"
"Make it stop, make it stop!!" Taskin thrashed as he awoke, he checked his chest to make sure he was alright...only a dream...no a nightmare.... Akina saw the sadness in his eyes. She leaned over and lightly started to kiss his face, neck and chest. Then she cuddled close to him and started to sing him back to sleep.
"Don't be scared, you have nothing to fear. My love, you know I'll always be here.... I’ll never leave you behind."
Slowly Taskin slid back to sleep, as Akina lay there next to him, softly breathing and sleeping herself. Before Taskin gave into the dark love of sleep, he only whispered into Akina's ear, "I love you, my princess."
