Objective:

 

Mathematics is problem solving.  The mathematics we will be learning will help build the foundation necessary for all students to survive in today’s technological world and will also provide the necessary concepts for students to succeed in future courses in mathematics. 

 

Grading Policy:

 

The students will be graded using the following criteria:

 

40% of your grade                    40% of your grade                    20% of your grade

 

1.  Test Scores                         1. Quizzes                                1. Homework

                                                2. Writing Assignments             2. Daily Problem

                                                                                                3. Class work (worksheets)

                                                                                                4. Portfolio

                                                                                               

Expectations:

 

1.      Students will be expected to complete all homework assignments.

2.      Students will participate in activities both individually and cooperatively.

3.      Students will be required to keep a notebook.  This notebook should include class notes, homework, and all graded papers.  This will help you keep track of your grade.

4.      Do your best.

 

Rules:

 

1.      Respect each person.

2.      Be in your seat and quiet when the bell rings working on the daily problem.

3.      No talking while I am teaching.

4.      Raise your hand to respond
