~*Amanda's Point Of View*~

It had been a month since I had left and I was nervous as hell. I had something very important to tell Ashley and I was scared that he wasn't going to take it well.

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door, waiting in anticipation for someone to answer the door.

"Amanda?" Jacob questioned when he answered the door.

"What are you doing here?"

"Can I come in?"

"Sure." He opened the door wider and allowed me into his room.

"So, what brings you to New York?"

"Ashley." I stated lamely.

"Oh."

"Do you know what room he's staying in?"

"Yeah he's in the one next to mine, but I'm not sure if right now is the best time."

"Why, is he not feeling well or something?"

"Well, no, he's ok. I'm just not sure that right now is the best time."

"Why not?"

"Did you bring Aurora with you?" He asked, completely changing the subject.

"No, I left her with Ashley's mom."

"You drove three hours to Redding to leave her with Ashley's mom when you could've driven and hour to San Diego and left her with my mom? Why'd you do that? Or why didn't you leave her with Steph and Andy?"

"Steph and Andy are out of town and I don't live in LA anymore. I moved back to Redding."

"Oh, when did you do that?"

"You're avoiding the question Jacob. Why is now not a good time?"

"Did you find a nice apartment?"

"Fine, I give up. I'll figure it out for myself." I sighed in frustration and then walked out of Jacob's room and over to Ashley's door.

I knocked loudly and rapidly, hoping to get his attention, so he would answer the door.

"I'm coming!" I heard Ashley yell.

A moment later a boxer clad Ashley answered the door.

"Amanda?" He whispered.

"Is that the room service we ordered Ashy?" I heard a female voice ask from within his room.

I felt tears come to my eyes and I ran. I could hear Ashley calling after me, but I kept running. I ran over to the elevator and took it up to the top of the building.

Once I reached the top I took the stairs to the roof.

I began pacing before I eventually broke down sobbing.

"I told you now wasn't a good time." Jacob said as he sat down next to me.

"I really don't need any 'I told you so's' right now Jake." I said still crying.

"I know."

"How long have they been together?" I asked quietly.

"A little over a week."

"See, I knew that he didn't love me. All of you said that it would destroy him. That he would lose his will to live, That I was his everything. I fucking told you that I wasn't his everything."

"You are his everything Amanda. He's just confused right now. He was lost after you left. He could hardly function for a week. We had to force him to eat, force him to get out of bed. He's lost without you Amanda. That girl in there, that girl means nothing to him. She's just someone to please him."

"Well gee, don't I feel better now." I replied, rolling my eyes.

"What'd you come here to tell him anyways?"

"Does it matter now?"

"Yeah, I think it does."

"I don't want to tell anyone before I tell him."

"Then go tell him now, 'cause now you've got me curious as hell." I laughed slightly and stood up.

"Come on. Let's go back inside." He took my hand and lead me back inside.

We rode the elevator down to their floor and then he walked with me to Ashley's room.

Ashley's door was slightly ajar, so I knocked before I went inside, taking Jacob with me.

"Where's Madison?" Jacob asked.

"I told her to leave." Ashley sighed, he was lying on his bed, still clad only in boxers.

"Oh, ok, well uh, I think I'm gonna go now." I watched nervously as he walked away and shut the door behind him.

"Madison didn't have to leave. I'm sorry if I made it seem like she had to leave just because I had shown up, I just wasn't expecting that so soon after I had left."

"There's nothing between Madison and I except a physical attraction. It's not like she's my girlfriend or anything. Just a friend with benefits."

"Oh."

"You can sit down if you want." I nodded and sat on the opposite side of the bed from him.

"Why did you come?" He asked. It wasn’t in a rude tone, just one of inquiry.

"There was something important that I had to tell you that I couldn't tell you over the phone."

"What?"

"I-uh, can we just talk for a few minutes, I'm still really nervous about it."

"Sure. Where's Aurora."

"I let her with your mom. I moved back to Redding a week ago. She offered to watch her while I flew out here to see you."

"You moved back to Redding?"

"Yeah. There was nothing much left for me in LA. I quit my job to come on tour with you guys and the only friends besides you five that I had in LA were Steph and Andy, so I moved."

"Where are you living?"

"Do you remember that apartment we looked at when we were dating in high school."

"The pale yellow one with the window seat in the dinning room?"

"Yeah, that one. The one we were going to move into after high school. That's where Aurora and I live now."

"Cool."

"Mmmhmm."
