Jarnette Olsen born 1954 is the girls' mother, and the one who introduced them into the acting career. She took them along to a modeling agency where they were accepted and given auditions (including that of Michelle Tanner). After they were accepted for this the ball just kept on rolling. Her maiden name is Jarnette Fuller, which is Ashley's middle name.
She was married to David Olsen for 18 years, until they divorced in 1996. They had, although, been separated since 1994.
Jarnette's nickname is Jarnie, and she used to dance with the Los Angeles Ballet before becoming a housewife to look after her 4 children. Mary-Kate and Ashley stay mainly with Jarnette but have rooms at their father's house as do the other siblings.
David Olsen born 1953 is the twin's father. In total he has 6 kids, two being only MKA's step-siblings. His nickname is Dave and he likes to play golf.
David is a Mortgage Banker & commercial real estate investor, and he was married to Jarnette Olsen for 18 years until they separated in 1994 due to his engagment with McKenzie, and divorce in 1996. He went on to marry her later that year on March 10th. Ashley, however, did not attend the wedding.
He still spends loads of time with his previous-marriage children, and they all have rooms at his house. Mary-Kate and Ashley decorated theirs in light shades.
Trent Olsen born 1984, May 22nd is MKA's older brother. He is the oldest of the Olsen family's kids and has appeared in The Case of the US Space Camp Mission + Sleepover Party.
He enjoys drawing, especially comics and likes playing sport too, such as basketball, baseball and soccer.
According to the twins, he's a typical big brother. He helps with homework and likes to tease them. He also loves computer games.
Lizzie Olsen born February 16th, 1989 (making her my age- that's the year I was born), is their sister. She loves to act and has appeared in How the West Was Fun, The Case of Thorn Mansion, The Case of the US Space Camp Mission and The Case of the Fun House Mystery.
She's in grade 8 at school (year 8) and likes to perform in school plays. As well as acting in Mary-Kate and Ashley's adventures and movies, she has made her own television commercial.
McKenzie is the twin's step-mother, who remarried David Olsen in 1996 on March 10th shortly after Dave's divorce to Jarnette. He real name is Martha and she is 43 years old. She has a daughter named Taylor who is 6 years old and a son, Jake aged 4 who went to Australia with the twins.
The girls like babysitting the two younger kids, and include them as part of their family, although Ashley didn't go to the wedding.
Ashley has a boyfriend, Steve of just over a year. He likes to play soccer, and Ashley says she likes boys who are funny and sensitive, so he must fit these - right?
Mary-Kate has a boyfriend also, Max who've been going out a year, just a little bit less that Ashley + Steve. Mary-Kate likes the same kinda boys as Ashley really.
