Nicknamed, "Liyah," Aaliyah just graduated from the Detroit High School for the Fine and Performing Arts (June, '97). Aaliyah died at August 26, 2001 after her plane crashed right after taking off from Marsh Harbour airport, Bahamas, after shooting her latest music video.
