Swimmers of the Week

This season Rachel and Katie hope to recognize outstanding individual accomplishments with a
Swimmer of the Week award. Along with these swimmers, team members who attend every practice
during a particular week will also be recognized. Go Tigers!

Swimmer of the Week

Quinn Weisman (9 & 10 Boy) is one of the current swimmers of the week. Quinn is one of the top point scorers for the team, but his individual acheivements have not come without hard work. Quinn can always be found racing at the ends of sets. He realizes what she needs to do to achieve his goals, and refuses to quit. From asking the coaches how to improve his stroke, to swimming entire sets of butterfly (usually a swimmer's nightmare), Quinn is a prime example of the saying "You get out what you put in." Quinn has also shown great interest in expanding his swimming career, as he participated in the Barclay Midi-Meet this past weekend where he placed very well against tough competition. Outside of the pool, Quinn has shown great commitment to the team and the community. For the team Swim-a-thon which raised money for Cystic Fibrosis, Quinn went to extremes to collect over 100 dollars for the worthy cause. Thanks Quinn, and good luck in your upcoming meets!

Swimmer of the Week

Kelly Fletcher (11 & 12 Girl) is our girl swimmer of the week. Kelly, although sometimes reluctant to get in the water when it's a degree below 80, is hard to beat (once she's wet)! While she credits her outstanding performances in the pool to "sugar-rushes", her technique and practice habits have led her to success. Competition is Kelly's middle name, and when she doesn't perform up to her extremely high expectations, she takes out her frustrations in her next race, which usually translates into outstanding relay performances. The past few meets, Kelly has swum tremendous legs in the 11-12 Girls A medly and free relays, coming from behind to touch out the other team, or give her own relay a lead. Finally, this past weekend, Kelly finally reached her own personal goal of qualifying for Tri-County in th 50 free. Congratulations and Good Luck!
