Chapter 61

July 9th 00

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was great! As I told you then the day started out well and it only got better. On top of everything the weather was great so my grandmother didn't feel cold, she easily does otherwise. But the sun was shining from a clear blue sky.

I think the first ones arrived already at 3.30 before the other's had left, but it was friends of mine so they knew my family from before and they got to meet Ola's family now. As the coffee in the afternoon was a late birthdaycelebration Ola got some gifts, mostly money and flowers. We really don't need any "stuff" since I had a lot from before and Ola got almost as much! LOL! But from his grandmother he got a knife, a fork and a spoon in silver, there is just one missing of each now. She started to buy him them rather late in life that's why it's not complete yet, but it will be at Christmas. I've got my silverwear since a long time back, I still don't know if it's payed for yet. Rather funny, me and my mother went to get them and then my father was going to pay for them, but when we came to do that they didn't have the time for it....I guess they've settled their business. It's wellused at least.

So for the BBQ! ) I guess everyone came, because we came to be about 30 persons.....lucky we could be outside! We had the day before put up an old campingtent in the garden for the kids to play in. And that was appreciated. The kids played well together although all of them didn't understan eachother. Karin's ex-husband is from England so her kids knows some.

It was a lovely evening and we had put the speakers outside the window so we could have some music as well.

There really isn't that much to tell, we ate, drank, laughed, talked, danced and had fun. Of course as the hostess you don't get any peace to realx yourself until after the coffee, but by that time we had most of the dishes done and put away.

My friends really liked meeting Ben again, and they talk a lot to him, that way I hadn't to bother about that, but neither Ben nor Meg is the types keeping to themself(Ben's changed the last years since he met Meg). And they got along great with the other's too. We all sat down and looked at photos from back when Ben spend his summers here. Everyone thought it was fun, not to talk about the kids....there were some photos from the first summer aswell, Ben was 10 years old then.

Ashely: It almost looks like Trev! Doesn't it mommy?

Meg: Yes, it does, but daddy was 10 years old on that photo and the both of you are turning 10 in 9 days(this was on the 8th).

Trevor: Oh yes mom, we do! And you remembered!!!

Meg: You won't ever gonna let me forget about alomst forgetting your birthday last year, are you?

Ashely: I don't know, it did turn out great.

Meg: But we had great help too. She smiled at me.

Me: Well, it was the least I could do.

The evening went on in the same style, with laughter and a lot of fun. Some dropped out because the children were tired and they had a bit to drive. Ben and Meg stayed until midnight, then they left. They had decided that it was better to do like that, otherwise they had had to pack for a sleepover. The last once left around 2AM, but then we had been inside chatting for a few hours aswell. It had been a great day and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I hope Ola felt that it had been great too. I haven't talked to him yet, he's still asleep. I'm sitting here in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, and trying to come up with something to do. Maybe we'll just enjoy the last day of "vacation" and be lazy all day...I have to see what and if Ola wants to do anything.

Chapter 62

July 9th 00

I did finish up my work and went upstairs to see if Ola was awake yet, otherwise it was time to wake him up, after all sleeping until 10AM or more the day before it's time to go back to work. Anyway as he wasn't up I lent over to try to wake him up when he grabbed me and pulled me down on the bed kissing me. Do I need to say that he didn't get up, neither did I. When the clock stroke noon I woke up again.

Me: Ola?

Ola: Yes dear!

Me: It's noon, I guess we better get up and get some breakfast.

Ola: I'm not that hungry really?

Me: Really?

Ola: Well I'm hungry, but not for food.

By this I've gotten up from the bed and was heading towards the shower.

Me: Oh! What are you hungry for? I asked teasingly.

Ola: A shower with you maybe?

Me: But then you have to get out of bed! I laughed.

I don't think I've ever seen him jump out of bed that quickly before. We had the shower and then breakfast too. It was a great day so we had brought it(the breakfast) out in the garden.

Me: So what shall we do the rest of the day?

Ola: I don't know, how about nothing?

Me: Sounds good to me. Maybe do some gardening, or at least put things away.

Ola: Well, that's a good idea, after all they did promise rain in the next week(remember this was a Sunday/author's note), so we better do it when it's dry. The stuff we borrowed from your father, where shall we put that.

Me: In my car, then I'll can put it away tomorrow after work. Oh, if I only could have had some more vacation.

Ola: Well, but it feels good to get back too. Do you know what Ben and Meg have planned for the next two weeks?

Me: Well they said that they should go to Göteborg(Gothenburg) for a couple of days. Visiting Liseberg and stuff. And then the twins turns 10 next Monday.

Ola: What about telling them that they can have the party here, it's more fun for the kids than in the apartment.

Me: I'll give them a call later today. Why don't we get to the "cleaning up". Shall we take the tent down aswell?

Ola: Yes, it's no use keeping it up, we can put it up again the next weekend for the kids if they come.

As I leant in to start pulling blankets and stuff out I felt Ola pushing me inside.

Ola: I came to think that we haven't tried it ourselves yet.

Me: What do you mean by...?

I didn't get to finish the sentence before he kissed me. When we laid there afterwards with our arms wrapped around eachother I couldn't help my slef.

Me: What did I put in your food yesterday?

Ola: Are you complaining?

Me: No, not at all. We both laughed.

We were still in the tent when we heard.

-Ola? Tina? Anyone at home!

Ola: We're in the garden. We quickly got dressed to go see who it was. It was Håkan and Marie.

Håkan: Where? Ooops you've tried the tent I see.

Ola: Well.....(he was embarresed, but Håkan is his best friend so...)

Me: What brings you here this lovely day?

Marie: We left the kids at my parents and thought that we should hear if the two of you wanted to go for pizza or something.

Ola: We haven't anything planned so why not. By the way, why didn't you call first.

Håkan: We did, on all lines! I guess you didn't bring the portable phone when you went outside.

Me: Nope. We wanted to have breakfast in peace and quite.

Marie: Breakfast, do you know what time it is?

Ola: No, tell me.

Marie: It's 4.30 PM.

Me: I guess we fell asleep in the tent. We did have breakfast 12.30 and we didn't rush that.

Håkan and Marie help us put the extra furniture in the garage and then we all went for pizza. We did have a great time, but we always do together with Håkan and Marie.

Chapter 63

July 14th 2000

Dear Diary,

I've been back at work for a few days now, and it have been great, some annoying tourists, but most of them are great. Ben, Meg and the children went to Göteborg Monday and got back Wendesday night. And as we(me and Ola) thought that it would be great for Ben and Meg to have a day off alone we said we'll bring the kids to work, the kids were thrilled of course. Ola had some deliveries in Ystad yesterday so it was a great day to do it. All the kids came to me in the kiosk first and then they one by one got to ride with Ola, and that was not just a tour in the town, no they got to follow him to pick up the stuff that was going to be delivered in Ystad as well. I have to say that I was just as excited when Ola drove up outside to stop and change kid(he could onlly have one at the time). I still get thrills all over my body when I see his truck driving by, as I did before it was him and me. Do I have to say that we're both quite exhausted when we got home.

And the birthdayparty for the twins, well my mother got to Meg before I did, apperently they had talked about it already Saturday. So, we're going there instead of having a lot of people over at our place. Meg did ask for the telephonenumbers to a few of my friends though, the twins wanted to invite some of the kids they had met.

Well I worked the eveningshift today and when I woke up this morning there was a single rose waiting for me in a vase at the kitchen table. It was from our garden and there was a note attached that said.

" Ett år innan du blir fru Andersson, Jag älskar dig. Ola"

"One year before you become mrs Andersson, I love you. Ola"

Well not by the day, but by the date there's a year to the wedding, so before I left for work this afternoon I did prepare dinner for Ola, usally he just sweeps something together himslef but I felt like doing something for him. He always brings me flowers and stuff at all times, I sometimes ask myself if this is just a dream and I soon gonna wake up to a cruel reality.

July 15th 00

When I got home about 1.30AM I found Ola asleep in the sofa downstairs. There had been a lot to do at work, so I had to work overtime an hour. I went over and kissed him gently on the cheek.

Ola: Mmm, what's up?

Me: I'm home.

Ola: I guess I've fallen asleep and you're late, he said as he looked at the watch.

Me: Yes, but I can't close when there's still a lot of people wanting food.

Ola: I guess not, did you call?

Me: No, I didn't and you must have had a hard day today. I mean if you had to ask if I had called, you usally wakes up when someone calls.

Ola: Well I had a rough day and then I had a lovely, lonesom but lovely dinner, thank you, and I just fell asleep.

Me: When did you get home?

Ola: Around 8-8.30.

Me: Then you've slept rather long. Shall we get a cup of coffee and sit out on the porch, or get to bed? It really is a great night with stars all over the sky.

Ola: I think I want a cup of coffee, I kind of slept thru the eveningcup. We both laughed.

We took it with us outside and when we had been sitting there for about 10 minutes or so..

Ola: Do you think it will be as great a year from now?

Me: I certainly hope it will, but otherwise I don't mind as long as everything else that day goes like it shall.

Ola: Well I too hope everything goes smoothly, but with your ability of planning things I can't imagening anything go wrong.

I reached for his hand and we went inside, we both fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. It felt so good waking up in his arms the next morning. As we both had the day off we could sleep long and we weren't expected at my parents until 2PM.

The party went well and the twins were thrilled, they missed having their "old" friends around, but they had made new ones the other weekend. My mother and Meg had planned it well, I mean in difference to last year when Meg being so busy with work that she almost forgot about it all.

It's now just one week left of their visit here, and I hate to see them go, but they have to get back to work as well and they have to go see Ben's aunt and uncle in England on their way home.

I almost forgot, Derek called the other day. It was when Ben and Meg was in Göteborg and I was working so Ola told me about it. He was devestated(Derek that is), the twins were both now crawling around, and Kerrigan had been "running" around the house all day and he was desperate to talk to his brother about what to do. As Ben himself had been thru twins when they started to crawl and moving all around the house. Anyway as Ben and Meg had borrowed my cellphone, Ola gave him the number so he could call them. And when Ben then told us all at the party about his brother calling we couldn't help ourself but laugh. I guess Derek is going to have his hands full with those girls when they grow up. Kerrigan is up to a good start at least.

Nothing much more have really happend. It's busy at work and I have to try to squeeze Ben and Meg in a few times the next week, before they leave. Because it will be about a year until we meet again with the wedding coming up we can't fly to visit them this Christmas.

Chapter 64

July 23rd 2000

Dear Diary,

This week just passed by too. It was the week we call "marketweek" where there are this big markets in the surrondings all week. I managed to get Thursday off so I went to one of them with Ben, Meg, their children and of course Ola. Not that I go everywhere with him, but almost when it comes to events like this.

We've started to talk about the vacation for next year, or maybe we shall call it honeymoon. We dicided on the end of August just before Ola starts to work too much. He said that his father had told him that he could take some time off from his "normal" job and drive Ola's truck if we wanted to go away for two weeks, so two weeks it is.

Well Ben and Meg flew to England today. I had the day off, or rather to say I had the afternoon off, I'm working the evening-shift right now and it's kind off slow so I get a chance to write here. We drove them to the airport, it was sad to see them leave, we've had such a great time these past 3 weeks. Next year when they come for our wedding they'll probably travel with the Liberty Corporation plane, as Meg said that "Lucas" won't be that old it's easier to travel privately if one has the chance. Maybe Derek and his family can come too, neither me nor Ola have that many relatives, so it won't be like we're overcrowed if they come.

August is coming fast now, I just don't now where the time flies. I mean almost 7 months of the new millenuim.... and that leaves it to be almost 11 months to our wedding. I have tosit down with Ola to discuss the invitaions, who to invite and all other stuff. Then it's the dinner and reception..... Oh! I better start soon! LOL Then I have to go to Copenhagen, Denmark to look at a dress. I've always said that I'd like to buy my weddingdress in a certain boutique there. The owner even have adds in the local newspaper here in Ystad.

When we discussed out honeymoon, I said I'd like to show him Majorca. I just love it there, it has everything, mountains, caves, the sea and it's jsut perfect. And as I've beent there so many times and I've told Ola about it he seemed curious, so it looks like that's settled.

November 10th 2000

Dear Diary,

It's been a while, but the only thing that really has happend is work. Both me and Ola work a lot these days. The season for the beetrots are up and running at full speed, so I can work too, that way I don't have to sit at home all alone. Well I've been visting some friends too on my days off. Especially if I'd had a day off and Ola's been away over the night, it helps the time to go by.

The weddingplans are "on". We have ordered the honeymoon, as I wanted to live in a certain hotel I said that we'll book in advance so that we really gets it. We've also discussed a few places to have the reception/dinner at but not decided yet. We said that after New Years we go there to ask for prices and try some different menus.

Well Christmas is coming up soon, and this year we've decided to have a Christmastree as we're going to be home, I really don't know the facinartion in it, you get all those nails everywhere, but Ola wanted to so.... I guess we'll be at Ola's father for Christmas eve this year and then on Christmas day we'll go to my parents' place. It's been a tradition the last few years; that we all "come home" as our aunt and her husband and his parents come as well as my mother's parents(lives next door) and then all of us. And we did go there Christmas eve last year so this year we have to go to Ola's family that day. It's a bit hard there as his parents are divorced but we didn't spend any time at his father last year, we did at least go by his mother. Then we flew to Sunset Beach the 26th so it was a Christmas we rushed thru. This year it's gonna be a lot calmer, at least I hope so. Ola's working thru it all I think, at least in the mornings. Or I shall say that it's if there still are!
beetrots needing to get to the factory, some years they've managed to get them all there before Christmas. I have to see how it turns out, the one thing I know is that I have both days off. We don't have the kiosk open those days, people eats at home, so there's no need.

Chapter 65

December 13th 2000

Dear Diary,

I was out doing some Christmasshopping today and ran into a friend of Anna's "Vicke". We talked a bit and suddenly someone came up to her- it was MARIE!!!! They had been in the same class when she went to school here I knew that from before. She was visiting Vicke and of course she had her babygirl with her. She took up the baby to show me, not that I was that interested, but she was cute, that I have to admit. - And you? she asked, are you still with Ola?

Me: Of course, why shouldn't I?

Marie: Well I wasn't his first girlfriend you know.

Me: I know after all he's 6 years older than you( I couldn't help but being sarcastic) and I did have some "bagage" myself.

Marie: So no kids yet?

Me: No, we have decided to wait until after we're married.

Marie: And is that soon? Maybe now at Christmas? You've been together for quite some time now.

Me: Actually it's 1,5 years now on Friday and the wedding will be in the summer.

Vicke looked stunned on her friend, how could she go on like this but out loud she said: Oh how nice- Anna and Svenne are they getting married as well.

Me: I don't know yet, Anna said something about Midsummer, so maybe there'll be two weddings within a month. But we've been first with a date so..

Vicke: Well, we better get going now, give my best to Anna and a Merry Christmas.

Me: To you too and you too Marie my regards to your husband too.

Marie: Yeah. Tell Ola I said hi!(no Christmas-wishes there!?)

I went on and managed to finish my Christmas-shopping and that was good, because this was the last day I have off before Christmas, well I've got Friday off to, but I have other plans then. The only one I don't have a thing for is Ola, but I guess I'll talk to him to see if there's anything we can buy for the house together. I think he's got the same problem, what to give me. We'll get a chance to talk Friday, Ola told me this morning before he left that he's not taking any late drives on Friday.

December 16th 2000

Dear Diary,

We had a lovely evening yesterday. Ola came home already around 5PM, so we cooked dinner together. I know I've said it before, but I just love that, we have so much fun in the kitchen cooking. It felt good to sit down and talk in peace and quite for once. I told him about me running into Vicke and Marie, I hadn't had a chance before. Ola just shook his head and laughed. "Don't she ever give up?" he said. We had dinner in the livingroom like we usally do when we "celebrate". And talking about celebrating! He had bought me 18 red roses, they must have cost a fortune as it's not the season for roses right now.

We moved into the livingroom to have the coffee. We started the TV, but I don't think anyone of us watched it. It was a movie on, but I can't remember which. I leant my head against Ola's shoulder, I just love sitting close to him like that.

Me: Ola?

Ola: Mmmm- what's up?

Me: I've got a problem?

Ola: Sounds serious, can I help you?

Me: I hope so, it's a Christmas present for you, I don't have a clue what to buy.

Ola(laughingly): I've got the same problem.

Me: I thought the other day that we might need something for the house, can you come up with anything?

Ola: Not really, if you're talking about householdstuff, we even got a great toaster now!

Me: Yes we do!

Ola: But we've talked about getting those other rooms ready upstairs. Shall we save the money and do that after New Years instead.(Please readers, bare with me! there are going to be a small gift/tina)

Me: That sounds great, and that way either one of us has to go out finding a present.

Ola: So we'l take a day or two off after the holidays to go look for materials, paint and wallpapers.

Me: And maybe a trip to IKEA aswell.

We both went back to "watch" the movie, drinking the coffee and just sitting there close to eachother.

Ola: I love you- you know that, don't you?

Me: I know, and I love you too. I stood up and reached for his hand. - Why don't we go upstairs and make it an early night?

He too stood up and wrapped his arms around me from back, nuzzeld and kissed my neck.

Ola: Well, I don't feel like making it an early night, but yes, let's get upstairs. His hands had somehow gotten under my shirt.

Me: If you keep that up, I don't think we'll get much sleep at all.

Ola: That's ok by me, he said pushing me forward to the stairs.

Chapter 66

January 8th 2001

Dear Diary,

Well Christmas came and went. As Ola this year really had to drive a few loads of beetroots I drove home to my parents for a few hours we weren't to be at Ola's father until 5-6PM depending on when Ola got home. This was the first time ever I was spending Christmas eve "away" from my family but I lived thru it(LOL). We managed to get there at 5PM and it was a nice and quite Christmas. Besides us and Ola's father it was Ola's grandmother, his aunt and Ola's only cousin.

Then Christmas day we was to be at my parents for lunch at 1PM, or maybe I should call it Christmasbrunch, for me anyway! Ola got up around 6AM..work!... I had just gotten up, showered and gotten dressed when he arrived home at 11.30 already! I had thought that we'd be late, but no.

So...presents??? Well he had bought me a great pair of pearl earrings that will go perfectly with my pearlnecklace and bracelet. And I had bought him a golden chain. He's not wearing it much but gold is also kind og an "investment" you never know if the prices will go up.

So....New Years. Well we had gotten a very mysterious invation to Marie and Håkan, so we got a bit extra dressed up, and besides this was our first New Year together here at home, last year we were in Sunset Beach. So I had my new blue dress and the new pearls. Marie had then the day before called and asked if we could come already at 4PM, two hours early, ok we said. So at 4PM we arrived there with Anna and Svenne too. Already there were Hans(Håkan's brother) and Bodil, Ingela(Ma rie's sister) and Johan and thier son Daniel and their parents. And....a priest! They were getting married, that's why we should come early. Marie looked lovely in an offwhite dress. It had no sleeves so she had a bolero to go with it. The cermony was so nice, it was really over in about minutes, so when the other guests arrived at 6 we were all ready to eat. Someone felt bad for not having a gift, but that's why they had done it like this they didn't want any gifts.

So now it's January a new year again!!!!! 2001!!! Well.... me and Ola have been at it! We've prepared the rooms for the redecoration, choosing wallpapers and paint. As the house still is in kind of a mess, we do this when we have a day off or so, and we've got the wedding this summer I said that it's only gonna be coffee when I have my birthday, no dinner. And Ola said that he had thought the same when he in May turns 29, but only the family he said.

January 30th 2001

Dear Diary,

A lot to do all the time, and not much time to sit down and write. Anyway we choose bright colours in both rooms, and I'm just loving our "new" office. It feels so good to sit there and work. The other room we said could be a nursery when that day comes. It's nothing "on" yet, but I've never felt for kids the way I have the last 1,5 years that I've spent with Ola, so my guess is that we try to go for kids as soon as we're married.

March 9th 2001

Dear Diary,

Again it's been a long time since last. My birthday did come and go and it was soon back to normal again. But not really! We had our weddingplans to consider aswell. We went out to a few places to talk and try some food, we didn't really know where to have the reception and dinner for our guests.

At my birthday, or really two days before as the 6th was a Monday I had guests. Early in the afternoon, the families and later on the friends. That was nice, Cissi came with her newborn baby, a girl. That was extra speical since she have a son from before and her sister has two boys as well, so thiswas the only girl among those children. Cissi is soon turning 30 and her fiancé has already truned 40 this year so sometime this summer they're having a party to celebrate. I just hope it won't interfere with any of my plans.

Talking about plans I also the other week got to know that my friend Marie-Louise her fiancé Per and their son Simon are going to Mallorca at the same time as we are, and to the same hotel. They are also going to stay for two weeks. LOL Although it's going to be our honeymoon, I think it's great to be able to spend some time with them there.

Well I don't think that anything else have happend. All memebers of our familes are doing fine, the younger ones great. I sometime keeps forgetting that my grandparents and Ola's grandmother all are over 80 years old, as they are up and about doing householdstuff themselves and so on. Well I guess with the wedding coming up in 4 months I won't get the time to write so much. I've booked a day now in April to go to Copenhagen to look for a dress. There is a store there that I want to take a look in first before I start searching anywhere else. So don't worry if it again will take some time before I write.

Chapter 67

May 14th 2001

Dear Diary,

Well now it's only two months left. I found my dress, the restaurant is booked. I'm about tosend the invitations out next week although most of our friends and family knows when and where. As neither me nor Ola has any nieces or nephews we decided to ask Ben and Meg if their girls wanted to be bridesmaids/flowergirls. When I talked to Meg she said that she'll ask them as soon as they got in from school. She said that they'll be here a week before the wedding, it was mostly so that they could settle in, now when they have Lucas as well. He'll be 9 months by then.

Back to the plans. We thought it could be cute to have ringcarriers so we asked Håkan and Marie to "borrow" their boys Marcus and Emil. Anna of course is my bridesmaid and Ola asked Håkan to be his bestman. My brother will be in charge of the video camera, and see to it that photos will be taken as well. I want to have photos of the guests as they arrive at the church- kind of like when celebrities comes to an opening or something like that. Then I told my mother to see to it that they "sign in" in my guestbook, and in the guestbook of the church. Well my guestbook will "wander" around at the reception as well, that's my youngest sister's task.

For Ola's sister we haven't found anything yet, but there's gonna be someone handing out programmes in the church. So not all is settled yet, but it's on a good way!

Well now to something else! Ola's birthday! It's on Saturday, and as we decided before Christmas we did renovate those rooms instead, so of course I'll by him roses- "it's not a thing for a woman to do" he usually says, but I know he loves getting them. Then in the afternoon the families will come here. Not Anna and Svenne though as Anna has to work, we told them to come in the evening instead. We also asked Håkan and Marie to come. No other friends as the wedding is coming up.

Saturday morning (19th)

Luckily it's Saturday today, otherwise I'd never have a chance to get up before Ola, and bring him breakfast in bed. I'm not that found of eating in bed, but once in a while it's ok. When I got back up Ola was wide awake.

Me: God morgon och Grattis älskling./Good morning and Happy birthday darling. I leant over to kiss him.

Ola: Good morning to you too.

Me: What are you doing awake? I thought I'd get the pleasure to wake you up for once.

Ola: Well I stirred around and found that you wasn't there.

Me: I'm here now! And I brought breakfast.

Ola: I'm not that sure I'm hungry. Not for food anyway, he said as he took the trey of my hand and put it on the floor.

I might as well say that it was a good thing I'd pored the coffee into a thermos, otherwise I had had to make some new when we finally had the time to eat. I took a shower about an hour later and didn't do that alone either.

Me: What did I put in your food last night?

Ola: Nothing I guess, I don't need anything but you. Are you complaining?

Me: No, but we do have guests this afternoon.

Ola: Well we can get back to this tonight.

Me: Of course.

The afternoon went well, coffee and homebaked cake. It's always nice to have the families over for a few hours. And this time both my grandparents and Ola's grandmother could come to. It's always depending on how they feel that day. And then around 6PM Anna and Svenne, Marie and Håkan arrived. Marie had left the kids at her parents, so they could have a nice evening alone for once. I stood in the kitchen fixing with desert when Ola sneaked up on me.

Ola: You haven't forgotten what you promised me this morning? he said with his hands inside my blouse.

Me: No, but we've got guests.

Ola: I don't mind, I just can't keep my hands off you. Have I told you how much I love you today? And thank you?

Me: Yes you have, but I don't mind hearing it again. Thank you?

Ola: For making this a great birthday.

Me: Well you're welcome! Let's get this ice-cream out to the others before it melts away.

The "guests" did leave around 11 and when I've gotten most of the dishes away(in the dishwasher) we went upstairs and ended the night perfectly...maybe we got too carried away.

Chapter 68

June 14th 2001

Dear Diary,

I went with Ola yesterday, we hadn't almost seen eachother the last two weeks. If I wasn't working I was out runnig errands for the wedding, but now I have most of it under control, but I guess I'll loose the control again in this month left. One other thing why I was going with Ola was that he was driving up "over" Göteborg(Gothenburg) and I got some friends living there, so we called them and arranged to meet for dinner.

As it was going to be an early morning I worked the dayshift the day before and isn't to work until tonight. The thing when I woke up yesterday I wasn't feeling very well.

Ola: Maybe you should stay at home?

Me: No, I really want to meet Åsa and Niclas. And I can lay down in the truck if I doesn't feel better later on today.

Ola: Of course you can, but I'm worried about you. You've been working too much lately.

Me: Not more than usal at this time of year.

Ola: But you're doing so much work with the wedding as well, and you must admit that it wares you out.

Me: What gets you to say that?

Ola: Well to days last week when I got home you had fallen asleep on the sofa. Early!

Me: OK, I admit.

Ola: Maybe you should go see the doctor. I've see you under pressure before and you don't get tired this easy. I don't want you to collapse at the wedding.

Me: I don't think I need to, I'll just ask if I can have two weeks instead of one before the wedding so I can stress off if you like.

Ola: You really hate doctors, don't you?

Me: Yes!

Ola: I can call for an appointment for you?

Me: That's not necesarry, I'll do it myself, we've got this company-account.

Ola: Well I'll see to it that you do it today!

Me: I will.

I did feel better along the day, and after having breakfast a few hours later I felt almost great, but the tiredness hit me again around noon, so I went to lay down in the back as Ola was unloading the truck. Well reloading really, he was bringing stuff "home" as well.

Ola: Tina?! Love?

Me: Mmmm.

Ola: Time to wake up, we're driving again, and I don't like to have you laying back there, it's not really safe.

I moved forward still half asleep. I sat down in the seat and Ola reached over to put the seatbelt on.

Ola: Have you called the doctor's?

Me: Not yet.

Ola: Then do it at once.

I couldn't find an argument to do it, he even handed me his cellphone, so I didn't have to look for mine. I called and got an appointment for today, just before work really.

Anyway we came to Mölnlycke around 4PM and Ola found the way quickly, but after all he's got this really great street map. It was fun to meet them again. They, or really it's Åsa's parents have a summerhouse not far from my parent's place, so in the summers we meet often, and now it's been about 9-10 months. C5sa had prepared a great meal. We ate, had coffee and then unfortunelly we had to go, after all it takes about 4 hours I guess straight home. And we were unloading on the way.

So today I had to keep that appointment, "otherwise I'll kill you myself" Ola said before he left this morning. I felt much better today, it must have been yesterday's rest I tried to argue. "Well I can come with you" he offered. That's not necessary I said, I am after all 28 years old, and yes I hate doctors, but I'll keep the appointment. "I'll check in on you at work when I drive by".

So now I'm sitting here at work trying to melt all the questions and the possibility why I've been feeling a bit under the weather. I guess Ola's gonna show up any minute now. I haven't seen him drive by at any way today, maybe he wasn't in town at all and are coming from home.

Well he came and I was right he'd been home to park the truck and to shower. He didn't almost get inside the door before he "jumped my throat".

Ola: So, how did it go?

Me: Calm down, and above all sit down.

Ola: Was there something wrong?

Me: I'll get the testresults tomorrow, they'll call me.

Ola: But what did they think it was?

Me: Calm down, I don't need you to be stressed about this too.

Ola: Is it something that serious, tell me I can't bare to even think about loosing you.

Me: I feel flattered you feel like this, but I don't think you'll loose here, we're gaining instead.

Chapter 69

June 14th 2001

Ola: What do you mean, we're gaining?

Me: Don't you get it at all, why I've been sick- in the mornings specially, and I've been tired a lot.

Ola: Well you have stressed a lot, but that's not it, isn't it?

Me: No it isn't...I...

Ola: You know you can tell me everything, I'll support you, you know that.

Me: Well you better, I haven't planned for this to happen now, not that it's a bad thing.

Ola: Now you have to tell me, this seems to be a matter of life.

Me: You right, it's a matter of life, a new life.

Ola(looked puzzled): What are you saying? Are you? No, you can't be?!

Me: Yes, I can. It certainly looks like I'm pregnant. I'll get the result of the tests tomorrowmorning. Ola, please say something, anything?!

Ola: It's...he was crying

Me: Älskling?

Ola: It's just...how could you be? We always use protection.

Me: Nope, not always, not your birthday, well not in the evening anyway.

Ola: Well...

Now I got angry at him: Is that all you can say; Well?

Ola: I'm just taken by it all.

Me: And you don't think I am?

Ola: I guess you are.

Me: You should be lucky we're not at home, then I had yelled at you for real, I can't do it here, and besides I have to serve a customer now.

I took care of my work and when that was over and it was quite again, I started to wash a few things up. I couldn't even look at Ola, here we get the news about a baby one month before our wedding and all he could say is "Well...." Suddenly I felt his arms around my waist, and he whispered in my ear.

Ola: I'm sorry sweatheart, of course I'm happy. It's what we want, isn't it?

Me: I guess it is, but we said after the wedding.

Ola: But this isn't going to disturb the wedding is it? I mean you're not gonna "show" very much for a few months? Not that I mind. He held me tight, but in a careful way as if he was afraid to squeeze too hard.

Me: I guess not, it's not even been a month, well it will on Saturday.

Ola: Then we have to celebrate Saturday. If you're not working that is.

Me: I am, but the dayshift, so we've got all night to ourself, there are nothing else happening this weekend.

Ola: Tina?!

Me: Mmmm.

Ola: I'm sorry but I have to go, I have papers to deal with at home, and I'm sorry I can't put it off, they are to be ready tomorrow.

Me: I know, I'll see you when I get home if you still are awake that is.

Ola: You bet I am! Tonight I don't think I'll be able to sleep very much.

Me: Me neither.

Ola went out the door and got around the corner to go to his car, he put his head inside the window: Tina, I love you! So much!

Me: I love you too.

When I got home I was meet by a giant bouquet of roses already in the door.

Ola: For making me the happiest man alive.

Me: Thank you, but you had your part in this too. Where did you find roses tonight?

Ola: Well one guy in the flower shop owed me a favour, and this was exactly the time to bring it in.

Me: Yes it was, they're lovely.

We went to bed, we didn't make love just laid there holding eachother. The next morning they called from the clinic confirming my pregnancy and I didn't even get to hang up before Ola once again(it was the third time in half an hour) called to ask if they had called yet. He was thrilled, this time it wasn't a shock, although we have to replan a few things. Not the wedding and honeymoon though, that I asked about when they told me what "could be wrong" with me!

Chapter 70

June 17th 01

When I got home yesterday Ola had dinner almost finished. He had made a casserole. He had set the table in the diningroom with candles and stuff. The dinner was great and he'd even planned for dessert.

Me: This is all great, but are you gonna kill me with food?

Ola: That wasn't my plan, but you're "eating for two".

Me: Oh, that old myth....

Ola: Just kidding, I just wanted us to have a nice evening with you.

Me: It is, you've done a great job.

Ola: So how have you been feeling today?

Me: Great! All day really. But I guess we have to break the news to our families before the wedding.

Ola: I think so too, especially if anyone should crack a line about kids at the wedding.

Me: It's just to answer them and laugh, that way they don't believe us, I think.

Ola: That was a great idea. So what about our families? I mean when are we gonna tell them?

Me: Well we've invited them all for dinner the weekend before the wedding, so isn't that a good time?

Ola: It is, but can you keep it that long? What if you get sick a lot?

Me: That I don't know yet, but if that happens we just have to tell them sooner. I want to enjoy this first time alone with you. Keeping it to ourselves, is that so wrong?

Ola came over to my side of the table, pulled the chair out for me, took me in his arms and hugged me.

Ola: No, not at all, I want this too, for as long as possible. But it's already kind of a crazyhouse here with the wedding going on.

Me: So as long as I don't feel too bad we wait with telling our families?

Ola: Yes. Do you want coffee?

Me: I'm dying for a cup.

Ola: Then go sit down in the sofa and I'll get it.

Me: But the dishes needs to get to the kitchen, I can help.

Ola: I know you can, but I want to do this for you.

Me: I hope you want to later on when I might demand it from you.

He just laughed at me, and went out in the kitchen. I went out to the livingroom and put the TV on, there was a movie on and without really realizing I put my hands on the stomach and sat like that when Ola came with the coffee.

Ola: Hey, is there anything wrong?

Me(with tears in my eyes): No, not at all, I'm just so happy I think. I can't really believe that I about two years ago swore never to date again and start a new life in Sunset Beach, just me, no man, no kids ever and now I'm here with you, 4 weeks away from our wedding and I'm pregnant. It just got to be too much.

Ola: Well I must admit that I'm not been totally concentrated on work the last two days.

Me: I hope you are when you drive or are around people. I mean so you don't drop any heavy stuff on anyone.

Ola: Well I have to do things over a lot. Like routines, I have to before I do the last thing go back and see if I've done all the other stuff before.

Me: Good I don't want you to be in any kind of accident or so.

Ola: OK, I'll keep my eyes open.

I snuggled nearer Ola and nuzzeld his neck, kissing him and one thing lead to another, I took his hand and pulled him out of the sofa leading him upstairs to our bedroom.

Ola: Is it ok? Won't we hurt the baby?

Me: No, it's safe, as long as we're careful. And it's easy on from now, I mean we don't have to think about the consequences.

Ola: I guess not, that's already taken care of. He went back to kissing me.
