Consequences

Shortly after Ben and Megs almost wedding things started to take a downhill fall. Ben is spending nearly all of his time trying to help Maria, and Ben and Meg hardly ever see each other and distance begins to grow between them. When Ben comes home from work late and usually finds Meg asleep or when she gets home, and Ben is usually out with Maria.

Meg arrives home and sees Ben and Maria in the living room, talking and laughing.

Meg(to herself): Ben is with Maria, again. Is it possible his old feelings for her have resurfaced and he does not love me anymore? That has to be the answer becuase he never spends any time with me anyomore.

Ben: Hey Meg.

Meg: Hi Ben, Maria.

Maria: We were about to order pizza and get a movie, do you want to join us?

Meg gives Maria an evil look.

Meg: (to herself) The only us is Ben and me.

Meg: No, Im tired, I think I'll go to bed.

Ben: Meg, are you okay?

Meg:I'm fine, I am just tired.

Meg goes upstairs to their bedroom.

Meg: Is it over for us Ben? Do you love Maria? Have you fallen out of love with me, and you are just trying to let me down gently? It thats what it is, I dont think I can take it.

Meg slips into her night clothes, crawls into bed and starts to cry. Ben comes in and sees Meg crying and rushes to her and holds her in his arms.

Ben: Meg, whats wrong? Talk to me. I am here for you. Tell me.

Meg pulls away from Ben.

Meg:Leave me and go back to Maria, because thats where you really want to be.

Ben: How can you say that? I want to be with you, you hold my heart in the palm of your hands. I dont want to be with Maria, just you, Meg Cummings soon to be Evans. I am so blessed to have you in my life. I love you so much.

Meg: Do you really love me Ben? What about you and Maria?

Ben: That was over when she fell off of my boat, well actually before that, my new life began when you came into my life. I'm your Ben, Meg.

Meg: But now, do you have feelings for Maria?

Ben: The only woman I love is sitting right in front of me. Meg, its only you, my Dorothy,I love you with everything I am.

Meg: I love you too, but do you ever wonder what life would have been like if Maria never fell off of your boat and you and I would have never met of fell in love.

Ben: I cant lie to you, the thought has crossed my mind, but any way that it would have happened, you would be in my life. Besides that will never happen.

                                                                  

They kiss passionately and go to sleep in each others arms.

The next morning

Ben wakes up and turns Meg to him to reassure her of his love, and when he does that..................he finds out that..............................

Its MARIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben: What is going on?????

Maria hears Ben and starts to wake up.

Maria: Good morning Ben.

Ben: What in the world are you doing in here? Get out!!!!!

Maria: We are married Ben.

Ben: No, we are not and you know that! I love Meg, where is Meg?

Maria: Meg? Meg who? Do you have a bad dream or something?

Ben looks around everything is different, Maria never fell off his boat, he glances at the calendar, its the first day SB and Dorothy would have met.

Ben: I have to find you  Meg, before I lose you forever. I cant let that happen and I wont.

He makes a phone call

Ben: When is your next flight to Kansas City?....In 2 hours?.....I would like to buy a ticket.....I will pick it up at the air port....Ben Evans

Ben: I am coming for you my love.

                                                  

A few hours later Ben arrives in Ludlow and rents a convertible, a white one He is walking to the motel when he sees a newspaper stand and the headline gets his attention, it says

                                        Tim Truman and Meg Cummings to marry

                                                             TODAY!!!!!

Ben: Over my dead body Tim.

He goes to the church, and at the church Meg is getting ready and he burst in.

Meg turns around and sees a handsome young man in front of her and she cant help but smile.

Meg: Who are you?

Ben: I'm Ben Evans, and I have to tell you something about Tim, hes a cheater.

Meg: Who do you think you are to come in here and tell me that? You are trying to ruin my wedding and I wont let you. Please leave

The wedding march begins to play, Meg gets ready to walk down the aisle and Ben stops her.

Ben: I wont let you marry Tim.

Meg: Well, you cant stop me.

Ben: Oh yes I can

Ben picks Meg up and throws her over his shoulders and takes her to his convertible.

Ben: We are going for a ride and you will hear me out.

Meg starts to laugh

Ben: What is it?

Meg: This reminds me of a fairy tale. I was hoping something would happen and I would not have to marry him, and here you are, and you kidnap me from my own wedding.

Ben: Well I would not exactly call it kidnapping.

Ben gets to the park and stops the car and as they go to get out, Meg puts her arms around Ben and gives him a deep passionate kiss which he returns with pleasure. After a while they break apart.

Ben: I love you Meg Cummings.

Meg: It must be love at first sight because I love you too.

They smile and kiss once again.

Ben starts to wake up and expects to be in Kansas but he is back in Sunset Beach. There is a woman lying beside him.

Ben: NO!!!!! NOT AGAIN!!!! I want you back Meg.

He slowly starts to turn the woman to him

and its

MEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bens heart leaps for joy and he grabs Meg and pulls her into a passionate heart stopping kiss.. Their kiss is loving and deep, and after a long,long while they pull apart.

Meg:mmm...Thats a way to wake up. What did I do to deserve that?

Ben: Being Meg Cummings every day. Do you remember what you said about what life would have been like if everything had turned out differently?

Meg: Yes, I do.

Ben: No matter how things would have turned out, I would still have found you. You are my soulmate and I love you with all of my heart and soul. We are meant to be together. I love you so much.

Meg: Ditto.

They start to kiss with passion and hunger and they make love with passion and fire, just like the first time.......
