The night moved slowly but I cared not. Clad in my beast-skin garb I stood to sneer at the oncoming chill, hardly noticing at all the breath that was once unseen, was now a frosty white cloud emanating and then dissipating. But think me not a fool to stand alone within a cold dark night; for I was with reason. And so I stood in waiting, and in my left hand lay my hone while I grasped my sword with my right. For my task commanded an edge as keen as the finest razor. And so I labored on my sidearm, oblivious to all that is. Taverns with music and cheer were, in my mind, not taverns at all. Cold stone buildings that muffled that which was passing within were set quiet before me. Do not think me mad. For as I stated previously, I was with purpose.
