Gallen's interview in Singapore
(translated from "Xing Ming" Newspaper)

Gallen said: "This is a special performance together with ‘Grasshopper’ (cameramen). This represents the combine of a television program and also indicated how the people cooperate with one another to complete a task."

Gallen is not feeling well before coming to Singapore. He said, " Yesterday morning, I feel uncomfortable with my throat and ate two pills of medicine. After that, I felt a bit giddy, may be it’s because I had not eaten anything yet. The weather in Beijing is very dry. The day before coming to Singapore, I worked until midnight and rushed to the airport early in the morning at seven. Therefore, I think that’s why I’m ill. It’s my honor to be invited to participate the opening of Channel-U."

When talking to Gallen about his son, we can sense his love towards the son. " Having a son makes me become a more caring person. I grew up in a poor environment when I was young; I think that babies are troublesome whenever they cry. Today, my attitude changed due to a change in the environment. My son resembles me, when he’s happy, he’ll talk and keep quite when he’s unhappy. He likes to listen to music too and claps his hands when the song ends," he said.

Reporter: When are you having another baby?

Gallen: My wife and I treat it as nature.

Gallen told the reporter that he encourages his wife to come out and work. He laughed, " If she stays at home all the time…"

" Become a ‘yellow-face’ woman," the reporter continues.

He smiled, " It’s not because of this. It’s just that she will not be separated from the society if she come out to work and learn more things."

Reporter: Will you allow your son to follow your footstep and be an actor?

Gallen: It depends on him but I still prefer him to study. Maybe it’s because I do not much education, only until secondary, therefore I wish that he could study more. A person with more education can supervise people instead of the other way round. Besides, working in media has a lot of pressure. No matter how hardworking you are, you cannot expect much, your luck already stands 30%.
