Here are some... well, interesting people, to say the least, that I have met on my travels.
I met this fire elemental a couple weeks ago. I politely asked his name and he told me he didn't have one. He had been summoned by a powerful wizard, and desperately wished to return to his plane, the Fire plane. He was plotting escape when I left him- I hope he made it.
This devil actually sought *me* out while I journeyed across the Lava Mountain years ago. He was intent on making me his slave, but once he realized I was a mage, he let me go. I remember, when I told him what I was, his gruesome face split into a smile and he said, "Ah, well, that's a different matter entirely. I respect mages. I only like delicate, flimsy females to... ~ahem~... *work* for me. So you should be going on home, these moutains are dangerous..."
This person, Yn, claimed to be- and I quote- a "devil". I asked why he looked more like an angel than a devil, and he replied with a sinister grin, "That's because my name means 'deciever'." Needless to say, I gave him a wide berth as I traveled on my way, although I could feel him watching me as I walked all that day, as if he were following me.
This is a band of undead I had the misfortune to find in the Darken Wood. Just their memory makes me shiver with dread even now. I eluded them by way of a transport spell in which I teleported out of their cursed woods.
Yes, I've seen a beholder before. It was when I was very young, just starting out on my magical studies. I only barely got a glimpse of it before my master, Vo Glondey, made me look away as he destroyed it.
Ugh. Filthy, disgusting, smelly, and stupid- and that's just an ogre's *good* points...
My master Vo and his army (he was a war wizard) attacked a lizardmen tribe. I was allowed to watch as he cast his spells. This lizardman snuck up behind and surprised us. I killed it with my dagger.
This lich attacked- or at least tried to- my friends and I when we were asleep on a trip. We had taken shelter from a vicious storm in a very large dark cave. Apparently this lich didn't like us trespassing on its property. It came forth from the darkness, wailing with rage. Needless to say, my friends and I vacated that cave as quickly as possible. The lich followed us only to the lip of the cave, then with an infuriated howl, receeded into the shadows once more.
I watched Polypon conjure these three elementals last week. He only asked for knowledge from their planes and then sent them back. He did not make the elementals his slaves, as wizards and mages often do.
I met this little daemon the other day. He told me his master had cast a spell wrong and it had sent him far from the lava moutain he lived on; and so was having to walk the entire way back.
I have no idea who or what this... creature is. I saw *it* slink past my cave just two nights ago, at the blackest part of the night. Most likely, *it* is the result of a cruel experiment.
A neutral Necromancer I met just a couple weeks ago. His name was Varnin Crae. He was adamant about making it clear he was 'neutral, *not* evil." I, of course, was quite skeptical about this, but he insisted. ~shrug~ I've never heard of a neutral Necromancer.
Now this man, Polre, was most definately an evil Necromancer. I met him briefly while staying in Varnop, a city far from my comfortable cave here. The city was becoming quite anxious while he stayed over the weekend there, and more than once women claimed to have seen him "skulking in the shadows late at night, no doubt up to no good..." I'm not sure about that, but I do remember the crazed look in his eyes the only time I saw him. It was like they were two burning pits of fire...
