My (large) cave room for my dragons and other creatures that have sought shelter here. I offer one word of advice- watch your clothes. They might get a bit singed with all these dragons about.

My first orphaned dragon- Slararet, female. She is a quiet, timid dragon, perferring books to living company. I like that. She is facinated with air magic, and often surrounds herself with lightning.

Redona, female. Her temper matches her skin colour- fiery hot. She does not get on well with Slararet. Redona flits from one activity to the other, is easily bored, and hard to keep up with!

Blaran, male. He is more studious than Redona, but is definately just as curious and fun-loving as she. He helps me keep up with Redona and keep her from pestering my guests.

Nuitar, male. He is a very moody dragon. He frequently can be found at the lake at the bottom of my mountain, as he loves to swim. He is a loner, not trusting other people unless in a dire situation- which he's never been exposed to. I give him shelter here, though, in hope that I can help him release some deep fears he has.

Kitary, female. Kitary told me when she arrived here that she had been driven from her centries-old cave by a "thieving band of knights" a couple weeks ago, and has been without a home since. She desperately wanted to find a place to hoard her gold, some of which she managed to save from the knights.

Varkin (male), a lively young dragon who pokes his fiery nose into *everything*. I've had to shoo him away from my magical works more times than I can count! He has fortunately found a new hobby; he follows my newest resident, the unicorn Clearlake, around constantly.

Varlep, male. He lives, obviously, in the lake below my moutain. His lake was drained from an earthquake a few days ago (my poor cave aquired an annoying crack on the north wall). He limped over to my lake and has been quite happy there. He talks with Nuitar, and they seem to enjoy each other's personality.

Inferno, male. He is older than any of the other dragons, and therefore expects respect and reverence. But don't think him snooty or disdainful. He is quite the opposite. His temper can flare on occasion, but he is normally genial and open. He loves to read, and most every night someone could find he and I relaxing in one of the back caves, reading ancient spellbooks by candlelight.

Zanthra, female. She is of royal blood. Zanthra was cast out from her family because she deigned to decide to like humancompany more than dragoncompany. She is facinated with humans, their wayward and- to her- quite short lives.

Kinpalar, male. He is easily the largest dragon here, and almost as old as Inferno. Kinpalar enjoys math, of all things. Almost every waking hour he spends huddled over a mathmatical book I've bought him, working problems and testing answers. I've had to buy him three different books already from the local market (they are quite cheap- no one seems to want the books). He gives me the money to buy them, of course. I find it facinating to watch him be facinated by a different concept. I could never work half the problems he does.

Cauglon, male. Cauglon loves to fly (more than the average dragon, that is.) I go flying with him almost every night. We ride among the glowing stars, not talking but simply enjoying the feel of the wind and the sound of nothingness. Cauglon also enjoys polymorphing into a human, as some dragons are able to do.

This young pegasus, Parapet, begged for shelter for one night, but I think she'll be staying around for a while. She can't sit still for more than five minutes, and loves to go scouting with Blaran and Redona.

Whiteclef, female. She was caught by an evil wizard and cruelly experimented on. She was a normal unicorn until this wizard morphed the pixie wings on her. The experiment also changed her pelt from a pure white to this deep purple. Whiteclef escaped from her (the evil wizard, that is) and has been on the run for several weeks. I can offer her supirior protection here, as I have many defensive spells on my cave. She never ventures farther than the moutaintop.

Clearlake, female. She found herself being hunted in her forest and so has come to me for shelter. She feels certain that the poachers will leave soon when they can't find her, and they may, but I still don't think it would be safe for her to go back. Meanwhile, she enjoys running up and down my mountain with Varkin.

These two harpies, Ri (left) and Rx (right) have sought shelter at my cave because their own caves were burnt by overzealous humans. Ri told me the humans thought the harpy colonies had been stealing various objects from local houses, but they hadn't. Rx said the thieves were evil wizards living in a hidden cave nearby, but the humans wouldn't listen when the harpies tried to explain.

A very pesky ghoul that has taken residence in my deeper cave rooms. He loves to move things around, making it almost impossible to locate anything anymore. I've tried to make him leave, but he's firmly attached, I'm afraid. ~sigh~
