First, recent screenshots of my characters (as of Aug 1st 2001). You can capture your own screenshots by pressing the 'print screen' key while you're playing. You can also configure this by going to 'options', then 'configure controls'. Screen capture is at the bottom of the list.
"To Kill a Carrion Bird..." This is one of my barbarians, Caran. He's one touch character.
I haven't upgraded him tothe expansion yet.
Caran again, now in the Claw Viper Temple. He literally carves a path through monsters!
My other barbarian. He is very hardy, and almost is never overwhelmed. This pic , however,
shows one of those times!
Gotcha! I just /hate/ being frozen. Usually by this time my character will have found
'Death Guard', the green set belt that will protect you from being frozen, but Wulfgar's had
no such luck...
DIE BEAST! ;-) My poor Aliza is there, underneath Wulfgar's feet. Dead. There's 8000+ gold
down the tube to ressurect her... She has an awesome bow that does +15 poison damage over
2 secs besides other damage. Aliza does almost as much damage as Wulfgar! She's level 19 or
20, and she's one tough cookie.
Leap and Leap Attack are some of the /best/ skills a barbarian can learn. They are helpful
anywhere, especially in the Arcane Sanctuary. (By the way, when I got to the Summoner, I was
busy killing those lich guys and before I knew it, Aliza had killed the Summoner in two shots!
I was astounded at her damage!)
Check these out! They're crafted from the horodric cube. Did you know that crafted items
are different every time you make them? Man, I was so glad I had saved Wulfgar
before I made these 'cause I got some crappy boots before I got these. (SEE TIPS,
below)
My assassin character. At first, she was getting whopped good, but now she has the trap 'Wake of Fire'
and both her katars steal life, so she can deal some heavy damage while staying alive.
TIPS
Are you always annoyed when Charsi gives you a bum item? Outraged when Anya gives you a crappy class-specific item for rescuing her? Well, you don't have to be anymore! You can try over and over 'till you get what you want with this 'cheat'. And there's nothing to download! Follow these simple instructions.
1. Locate the Diablo II folder by searching or with Windows Explorer.
2. Open the Save folder.
3. Find your character's files. There should be several, 4 or so, more if s/he is higher level.
4. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the files for your character.
5. Right click and select 'copy'.
6. Go to another folder out of Diablo II. I put mine in 'My Documents'.
7. Right click on the folder where you want to put your character and select 'paste'.
8. Congrats! You now have two copies of your character! Now go into the game and do whatever
(craft an item or try out Charsi).
9. If the result is unsatisfactory, just exit your character (you don't have to exit the game) and go
to where you saved your character (NOT in the diablo II folder).
10. Hold down the CTRL key and click on your character's files, then right click and select
'copy'.
11. Go to the Diablo II folder, find the Save folder, right click on it and select 'paste'.
Say you want to overwrite.
12. Ta-Da! When you go back into your game, it will be right before you did anything! Try, try
again! You can repeat as necessary from instruction #9. This is excellent to use anytime
you craft or with Charsi and Anya. Have fun, be patient, and you'll end up with some killer
items!
