All About Ditzy!
Greetings and salutations to all of my loyal fans on the world wide web, and your number is legion!
For those poor dears who have not yet had the pleasure of making my acquaintance, I shall remedy that situation here and now.
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ditzy Lebowitz and I am a drop-dead gorgeous calico kitty, whose considerable charm and charisma are exceeded only by my fondness for Meow Mix!
For those of you who must have been hiding under a rock, I am a bright star in the firmament of feline cyber-celebrity. While my origins were humble, such blockbuster websites as "Sumokitty" and "Purr-fection", have insinuated me into the hearts and minds of the denizens of cyberspace, whose loyal support has made me the feline superstar that I am today.
My human slave, Ruth has written many articles about me for the internet, although they are not nearly as good as the websites I have created for myself. However, she has proved quite effective at shamelessly promoting my sites, so I keep her on retainer. My feline roommates, Milo, Alison, and Otie, also have their own websites, which of course, are nowhere near as popular as mine. I guess by now you have discovered my most endearing trait, which is, of course, my humility.
I am modest to a fault, although thankfully I am not obsequiously humble in the manner of that odious Dickensian character, Uriah Heep. Fortunately, I have my feline flunkies, Alison, Milo, and Otie to attend to all my sycophantic needs. They are quite useful at assisting Ruth in the promotion of my websites and someday they may actually receive some remuneration for services rendered, but then again, maybe not. They are content to bask in my reflected glory, which is reward enough for them, if you ask me.
Yes, my star is very much in the ascendancy, and these are heady times for your truly, Ditzy Lebowitz.
While it was my websites which launched me into the stratosphere of feline cyber-celebrity, I am now a star in my own right. My fans and true believers are so loyal that they would pay good money just to hear me read the phone-book, which I can do even more eloquently than the late, great Richard Burton.
While my websites remain popular, and attract new fans daily, my focus these days is on my career in Hollywood.
When I am not working on screenplays, I am busy taking meetings and having power breakfasts in El-Lay, where I am considered a very important player.
Besides promoting my star-vehicle, "Ditzy Lebowitz - Superkitty!", you can find me holed up at the Chateau Marmont poring over scripts for the inevitable sequels to that sure-fire blockbuster, while Milo and Otie collaborate on treatments for biopics and mini-series, starring yours truly. Someday I may allow them to make some cameo appearances, since I believe that nepotism begins at home. Furthermore, it is good to keep one's slaves employed, if not gainfully, a practice that my role models, Machiavelli and Mussolini, practiced with great success. As a director, actress, and writer, I am considered a triple-threat in Hollywood, much in the manner of Orson Welles, and more recently, Barbara Streisand. However, unlike Babs and her excellent, yet ill-received vehicle, Yentl, I will win many Academy Awards, and have been busy fine-tuning my acceptance speech, since it is never too early to attend to such matters.
Right now I am trying to decide what gown to model on the red carpet, and will probably go with a little number by Vera Wang, or maybe that Grace Kelly look that Gwyneth pulled off so effortlessly, although it did lack glitz, and I absolutely love glitz!
Besides thanking the Academy, I will also make it a point to thank all of those little people, who have helped me become the big star which I am today. To that end, I have kept my slaves busy compiling a list of wonderful websites and personal pages, which are of course, all about me. You didn't think I would use my latest place in cyberspace promoting websites that aren't solely devoted to yours truly, did you? In the immortal words of Max Bialoystock, when you've got it baby, flaunt it, flaunt it!
