TRAVELING WITH TELESCOPES

The  first three links below describe airplane-transportable telescopes
that I have built and the trips they have been on.

Additional links are provided for those who want astronomical travels,
but don't want to fool with building or bringing a telescope.

6 inch   travelscope

This scope was built for an eclipse trip to Aruba in February 1998 and Sailing in the Virgin Islands (2013)

12.5 inch   travelscope

This scope was built for the South Pacific Star Party in Australia in March 2001 and I took it back to Australia in November 2002 and The Bahamas (2006) and Costa Rica (2007) and Chile (Atacama) (2011) and (rebuilt) Bryce Canyon (Eclipse) (2012) and Hawaii (Kauai) (2013)

8 inch   travelscope

This scope was built for a family trip to St Croix in February 2010 and the Transit of Venus in the California Desert June 2012 and a family trip to St John Astronomy on the Water February 2015
