Who is Paul Walker?

Paul Walker was born on September 12, 1973 in Glendale, California. His mother was a model, who got Paul involved in some modeling and commercials as a baby. He started real acting as a young child-

"I was on just about every '80s sitcom," he says, "like Growing Pains, Charles in Charge and Who's the Boss."

He also guest starred in episodes of "Highway to Heaven" and "Diff'rent Strokes." In 1986, Paul starred in the horror spoof Monster in the Closet and was featured on the tv series "Throb" (1986-87). He later joined the cast of "The Young & The Restless" as Brandon Collins.
He decided that he wanted to go to highschool as a normal guy and quit acting- for awhile. As a teenager, Paul loved the highschool life of girls, football, and more girls. He graduated from Village Christian High School and attended "every community college in Southern California", as a marine biology major.

"I've always wanted to be a marine biologist. I took a bunch of marine bio and oceanography classes in
school. I still love it. I watch the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet all the time."

However, it wasn't long before a phone call from an old agent tempted Paul into getting back to acting. Paul has said that if he were to give up acting, he'd like to go back to school and get a teaching credential as he finds teaching very gratifying.
So Paul went back into acting and starred in Meet the Deedles, Pleasantville, Varsity Blues, She's All That, Brokedown Palace, The Skulls, The Fast and The Furious and the upcoming Joy Ride. Paul hopes to find more dramatic roles and has recently started his own production company.

"We've found a couple of really good scripts, one of which I might do next year. I want to be proactie, not just sit around waiting for the kind of movies I want to do."
