chapter six

"O.k., but I'll pay you back."
"You don't have to. Your smile's enough." I could feel myself blushing.
"Uh, we better get back."
"Yeah you're right," said Justin. We got some Ritz-Bitz for Jon and went back to the elevator.
"Another race?" I asked him.
"Nah, I don't want to make you feel too bad." I laughed and we took the elevator up. The door opened and Jon ran to us.
"It's a boy! It's a boy!" he cried.
"Whoa, whoa, calm down. She had the baby already?" asked Justin.
"Yeah, just a couple of minutes ago," said Rachel filling us in.
"Can I see her now?" he asked impatiently.
"Lemme ask the nurse," she said and walked away.
"A boy, huh?" I said.
"Yeah. My mom must feel bad with 3 boys and no girls," he said. Rachel came back.
"Yeah, you can see her," she said.
"Good," said Justin as he walked quickly to her room. We walked in and stared at Lynn and the new baby.
"He's so little," I said. Lyn just smiled.
"So what's his name?" Justin asked.
"Steven."
"Steven, Jon and Justin. It has a nice ring to it," I said. We looked at the baby some more and Justin held him. After more gawking Lynn finally said something.
"I think you better take Shannon home now. This must be really boring for her."
"O.k., I will. Bye Mom, I love you."
"Bye sweetie, Bye Shannon."
"Bye," I said and walked out the door. "So how does it feel to have another brother?" I asked.
"It's so awesome," he said. "Not just to have another brother, but I mean the miracle of life. I can't wait to have kids of my own so I can experience that for myself."
"I'm sure you'll make a great father," I said. Justin smiled.
"Thanks," he said blushing. Justin was the kind of guy every girl dreamed about. He was a tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed babe. One smile from him could light up anyones day and make your heart melt. We pulled up to my house.
"Thanks for the ride," I said, not wanting to get out of the car.
"No problem. Hey, do you think you can show me around town?" he asked.
"Sure. When?"
"How 'bout tomorrow?"
"Yeah, ok. Where do you wanna go?"
"We'll figure it out tomorrow. Be at my house at 11."
"Alright, see you tomorrow."
"Bye."
"Bye." I walked into my house.
"This should be interesting," I thought to myself. "But where have I seen him before?" I shrugged it off and went to go call Kristin.
