chapter three
This
wasn’t so bad after all, Gean thought as she stepped out on the balcony on the 23rd
floor, letting the fresh sea breeze ruffle her hair. Brenda was right, I need
this.
As she
looked down at the beach stretched out before her and the sun setting on the
horizon, she couldn’t help but wonder if she would meet a tall dark and
good-looking stranger.
Yeah,
like a tall dark and good-looking stranger would fall for me,
Gean reminded herself with a small smile on her lips. Maybe gawky but sweet
guy.
Walking
back into the room, she switched on the TV and barely glanced at it before
walking over to her suitcase. She just needed some noise. Opening the bag, she
looked down at the clothes and a smile spread across her face.
The
clothes were great…exactly what she would buy. Her friends really did know her
well. Sighing as she closed the bag, she decided this would be a great holiday.
That’s
of course, if I never meet that moron at the airport again,
she thought.
