chapter seven

"He's never been on arth, why would he come now?" Chris joked and took a bite out of his burger.

Justin suddenly snapped out of it. "Sorryabout that. Its just that, I met this girl the other day, and lately all I've been thinking about is her," he admitted.

"What's her name?" Joey asked. "Is she cute?" he added.

Justin took a sip of his soda, "her name's Emily." Justin failed to notice Lance and JC exchange worried glances. Justin thought for a moment while he took a bite out of his burger. "But, now I wouldn't exactly call her cute..."

"Is she hot?" Joey's eyes widened. Justin made a face as though he wasn't quite sure what she was. "Well then what does she look like?"

Justin smiled to himself as the image of Emily brushing her hair out of her face the night before popped into his head. "Well," he started. "She's short," Justin chuckled. "Really short," he added smiling. "And she has long, straight, dark brown hair. I guess it's about down to her shoulders," Justin scrunched up his nose. "No, actually it's down to her shoulder blades." At each feature Justin described, an image of Emily slowly appeared. "and her eyes were so beautiful. Large rich brown ones, and she had the most intense stare. It was amazing," Justin had a dreamy smile on his face.

Emily tiptoed through the bushes, making sure she made no sound. Her instincts had told her the way to Justin's house...well, her instincts and the fact that she had seretly followed one of his friends back to their house after their concert. She stopped at a room with a light on. She looked through the window to see clothes scattered all around. "This must be Justin's room," she whispered to herself when she spotted the outfit he had worn that night on the beach on the floor. She opened the window and silently climbed in. As she was shutting the window, her arm accidentally knocked over a collection of wine and alcohol bottles that came crashing down.

"What was that?" Chris' head shot up when he heard a crashing noise.

"It sounded like it came from Justin's room," Lance stood up.

"Why don;t you go check it out," Justin suggested an gave Lance a small push.

Lance slowly walked down the hall, heading towards Justin's room. When he reached the closed door, he took a deep breath and swung open the door. As the door flew open, he jumped back, expecting something to pop out at him. When nothing popped ouot, he slowly stuck his head into the room. Nothing was there. Lance chuckled. "Hey guys, nothing's here!" he shouted back to them.

Emily watched Lance through the ever-so-slightly open door from where she was hiding in Justin's closet.

Lance felt a chill run down his neck as he walked past Justin's closet which was right by the open window. "Ooh, it's pretty cold in here," Lance leaned over and shut the window. "The wind must have knocked these down," Lance spoke to himself as he picked the alcohol bottles up and placed them back on Justin's shelves.

Lance walked back to where the guys were eating and sat down. "Nothing's there, the window was open and the wind must have knocked down Justin's collection of bottles."

The guys nodded and continued to eat. Justin stood up and cleared his plate. He wiped his mouth off with his arm and walked to his room. He opened the door, walked inside, closed the door and stopped short. "Holy ____!" Justin shouted and jumped back against his closed door when he saw Emily laying on his bed giggling.
