chapter twelve

“You sure?” Justin raised his brow.
“I’m positive. I’ll call you tomorrow or something. Bye.”

“Bye Em,” Justin hung up the phone and ran into his room to put on cologne.

Justin sat at a small table for two all by himself. He had a drink in front of him and was just turning the glass in circles. He had been sitting there the whole time they had been at the club. He hadn’t danced with one girl. Justin sighed and took a sip of his wine. He put the glass down and leaned back in his seat. The music was blasting, and all the guys were up and moving to the beat. He wasn’t quite sure why he was just sitting there, but he wasn’t in the mood to party.

Joey noticed Justin just sitting from afar and told the girl he was dancing with he would be right back. He made his way through crowds of people until he got to the table Justin was seated at. He pulled out the chair across from him and sat down. “Why you so sullen?” Joey reached across the table and took Justin’s glass. He gulped down most of the drink.

Justin made a face when Joey handed him back his drink. “I don’t know,” he shrugged.

“You need some lovin don’t you?” a smile crept across Joey’s face. By the way Justin shrugged, he could tell thats what he needed. “Well I have got just the girl for you,” Joey’s eyes lit up.

“Oh yeah? Who?” Justin asked, his tone was unenthusiastic. The only lovin I need is from Emily...Justin’s thoughts traveled. Before he knew it, Joey was dragging him across the dance floor and over to a table on the other side of the club.

Seated at the table was a tall blonde with tan skin wearing a skimpy black dress. “This is Vikki, she’s Lindsay’s friend,” Joey introduced.

“Who’s Lindsay?” Justin raised his brow.

“A girl I met tonight. If you’ll excuse me, I have to get back to the dance floor, why don’t you two get to know each other,” Joey suggested and ran off.

Justin just stood there, he didn’t want to be with this girl, he didn’t even know who she was!

“And your name is?” Vikki brushed her long blonde hair out of her face.

“Justin,” he answered quickly.

“Well then Justin, sit down,” she motioned to the chair next to her. Justin reluctantly sat down.

Justin’s eyes wandered around the ceiling, the dance floor, the DJ, everywhere but Vikki.

“How old are you? 21? 22?” Vikki raised her brow and took a drink from her beer.

“I’m 18,” Justin replied with a small smile.

“Wow, I feel old,” she giggled. “I’m 21.”

“Would you like another beer?” a waiter stopped at their table.

“Uh, sure why not. Justin, do you want anything?” Vikki turned her gaze to Justin.

“Umm,” he scrunched up his nose. “I’ll have a beer,” he told the waiter.
