A little about me:
Aloha, I'm Ki, and I like pina coladas, and gettin' caught in the rain...well, actually, I like Archers and lemonade, if you're buying, but I'm fine with getting caught in the rain; part and package of loving thunderstorms. I'm a student at the University of Sheffield, a bright busy city in the north of England with great shopping, a fabulous night-life and fantastic people. I'm currently studying for a BA in Economics; I'm in my first year.
Among those brave and darling people who are my friends, I am known to be impulsive, neurotic and just a tad insane. I have a vast overdraft, a rickety car which I frequently run into things (bridges, posts, the man across the road's Merc...), and an ever-expanding collection of random junk; a purple feather-boa frames my mirror, all things pink, sparkling and pretty ornament my life, and my sense of humour lurches from appreciation of the ever-present British sarcasm, to the decidely surreal sketches of Scrubs to the raucous humour of Peter Kay. Be warned.
My home away from university is a village just east of Northampton that has shades of Royston Vasey about it (very much a local place for local people) though I myself must deny any webbed fingers or intimate carnal knowledge of my cousins. I can't say the same for others there, alas. I live in a house in Sheffield with five other students, a house of much alcohol, little money and many, many shopping expeditions.
In the depths of the UK summer, I spend my time trying to pay off my overdraft by working in a Levi's factory, surrounded by other similarly broke students. If you feel a sudden, violent urge to find out more about my life, first I'd recommend counselling. Should that prove unsuccessful, I have a Livejournal .
I am a big music fan - I have music on every possible moment of my day - and frequently fall in love with songs (my favourites, in their hundreds, can be found on the lyrics page.) but among the artists who always grace my shelves and CD player are Sarah McLachlan, Heather Nova, Feeder, Foo Fighters, Jewel, Matchbox Twenty, and The Goo Goo Dolls.
