Carnegie Hall

New techno-stage:

With the focus on learn from home, Carnegie Hall has gone technological: from movie screen to mixer controls to camer angles to real people making presentations, multimedia has taken-over, as the Weill Music Institute gains flexibility. (Source: AV Video Multimedia Producer July 2004, p5). In a related item, Dr. Bob Benchoff got with one of the recent greats to the Carnegie Music Hall fame, Kerry Melega Kleinhans of International Tamboritizans to show her new technological designs he computer processed, that would increase her reed processing speed perhaps 100 times. Kerry plays many instruments while often singing in different languages. Kerry was very interested in Dr. Bob Benchoff's new designs, yet due to the intracacies she chose not to go techno in that respect, stating her expertise with the unique features of each piece of special bamboo used, make the carving of each reed unique, in producing the highest quality notes that it can. Clearly current technology is not all there is to life.
