Reflections

Written By:Fides Triangle
Performed On:May 31 at Grand Matron of Eastern Stars Visit

Pilgrim:When I look In the mirror what do I see? I see a pilgrim searching for the path of duty. A new unsure face seeking friendship, Guidance and protection.

Flag Bearer:When I look in the mirror what do I see? Now, I see the Guardian of the flag of our country. Men and women who saught freedom and peace for our country 'tis of thee.

Treasurer:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The keeper of our funds and keys. Raffles, dinners, and t-shirt sales help us raise money for the Queen's Charities.

Marshall:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The escort of our members and guests in the east and the west. Batons, ribbons, and square corners maintain order for the chapter of the Beloved Queen by walking like angels.

Chaplain:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The protector of the bible and leader in prayer. The Altar, bible, candles, and prayers are used as tools to keep the first duty, the duty we owe to god.

Guardian:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The protector of our doors and keeper of secrets. With the help of the honored supervisor and the honored daddy, she ensures all guests are entitled to be present.

Jr. Lady:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The holder of the crown and entertainment leader. As she waits her turn to wear the crown she reminds us of the third duty of the triangle, the duty to ourselves.

Sr. Lady:When I look in the mirror what do I see? An anxious young lady awaiting her turn to hold the gavel of authority and the crown of leadership. She reminds us of the second duty, the duty to others.

Beloved Queen:When I look in the mirror what do I see? The Beloved Queen directing is all and instructing us about the three duties of the triangle. We see a leader, a speaker, and a lady who has traveled along the path of duty, her reflection changing as she grew. As a triangle girl, our reflection changes from a pilgrim searching for the path of duty to the Beloved Queen leading the whole triangle. As we travel the path may we be reminded always of the three duties of the triangle. As a Triangle girl may we carry these important lessons and duties with us as we walk along the path of life.
